We all know Tom Hanks is a genius. Everything he does is just...you just know it's gonna be good. Which is why it was such a delight to see him publish his first short story, Alan Bean Plus Four, in The New Yorker! It was a science-fiction story, yes, but I liked it. I do believe if he wasn't Tom Hanks, it may not have been published, but that doesn't mean it wasn't entertaining. I like his writing style. I think Slate Magazine was in the wrong when they said that celebrities shouldn't write for The New Yorker at all. A bit elitist there, but c'est la vie. I'm also excited to talk about more Tom Hanks writing news! To come, though. Wink. Oh, and you can read it
here if you want to.
Very cool and glad you liked it, as well.
