The Interview Trailer AND Poster!

A first poster and trailer for Seth Rogen's and James Franco's new buddy comedy film, The Interview, have been released! The poster, I must say, looks freaking amazing. Definitely sparks an interest. Here's the equally-impressive trailer:

Rogen and Franco play two journalists who acquire an interview with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. They are subsequently ordered by the CIA to assassinate him. Not only do I love the films made by and with Franco and Rogen, but I'd see this anyway! Looks like a hugely great movie.

The Return of the Magic School Bus

Ms. Frizzle and The Magic School Bus gang are back! The popular educational television show for children became even more popular when Netflix made the entire series available to stream. It ended over fifteen years ago, but Netflix is rebooting it for twenty-six new episodes that are slated to debut in 2016! It will be called The Magic School Bus 360 and this time, the episodes will be animated with CGI. No word if Lily Tomlin is back, but it'll be an interesting process to follow! I'm definitely curious about watching the new installments.

The Blair Trig Project

The Blair Trig Project is the latest installment in the Cicero Mello Productions empire. Made for trigonometry, it was filmed at the legendary Spidergates Cemetery. Luckily, it wasn't for my trig class. I finished that monstrosity last year. Anyway, it deals with a man who wants to build a CVS Pharmacy on the grounds of Spidergates, but his employees (and mysterious happenings) attempt to sway him. I'd say it's one of our better films. Enjoy!

Tight Pants 2

Two years ago, Will Ferrell and Jimmy Fallon collaborated on Late Night for one of the best sketches, musical or otherwise, the Fallon era had to offer. Now, on The Tonight Show, Tight Pants is back! Jimmy plays the same character, the guy who believes he is the master of tight pants, only to be solemnly put down by another tight pants bearer. This time, Jennifer Lopez plays his foil. Enjoy! (And enjoy the song being stuck in your head for a couple days.)

Old People

Buzzfeed has out done themselves. They have far and away posted the best, funniest list ever. It is the 27 Reasons Why Old People Are the Best People on the Internet. And it is hilarious. My favorite is above, but it was so hard to choose. You can check out the rest on Buzzfeed. But you know what? They're too funny! Here's four more that I love:

So great.

Cinéfrançais

Téléfrançais was a popular French-Canadian television show for children. In my French class, we would watch the episodes of Téléfrançais and even though they made absolutely no sense, we all still enjoyed them. For a French project, we created a video known as Cinéfrançais, otherwise known as the Téléfrançais movie. The plot is Sophié trying to get her "fix" by tracking down her old friends, Ananas and Jacques. Enjoy!

Stay Strong, Tracy Morgan

Tracy Morgan is awesome. The hilarious comedian from Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock fame was involved in a massive car accident earlier this month. At first he was in critical condition and "fighting for his life," but now he has been moved to a rehab facility in fair condition. Unfortunately, fellow comedian and friend Jimmy Mack passed away after the car accident. The whole world is pulling for you, Tracy!

Is This the End of Nasim?

Nasim Pedrad joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2009 and since then she has been a consistent player who was never a star, but always funny. Now, after five years, it seems she will be departing the show. But it's not all bad! Even though Nasim implied she will be leaving by saying, "As far as I know, I'm in L.A. now," it's for a good cause. She'll be one of the leads on the new FOX comedy, Mulaney! So Nasim won't be leaving our television screens, but her presence will of course be missed on SNL.

Ike Barinholtz Joins the Ranks!

The Nest is easily one of the most highly-anticipated films in the history of films. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are producing and starring in the upcoming comedy film for December 18, 2015. The male lead was recently cast and a certain man named Ike Barinholtz landed it. He plays Morgan Tookers on The Mindy Project, but in The Nest, Ike will be Amy's love interest in the scenario where Tina and Amy throw a party at their childhood home which their parents are selling. Maya Rudolph was recently announced to be joining the cast as well. Additionally, Paula Pell, from Saturday Night Live, is writing it. I am stoked!

Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez

Together again. Gee, it's great to be together again. The Boston Red Sox hosted a ten-year anniversary celebration and commemoration of the historic, legendary, and straight-up awesome 2004 World Series victory. So many great players returned to celebrate, including Curt Schilling (a surprise attendee), Dave Roberts, Kevin Millar, Mark Bellhorn, Bill Mueller, Pedro Martinez, Keith Foulke, David Ortiz, Trot Nixon, Gabe Kapler, and Mike Timlin. The best part of the ceremony was when Manny Ramirez (who I was shocked actually showed up. He apologized for everything that went down so that is pretty neat) threw out the first pitch to Jason Varitek. Instead of it going smoothly, Johnny Damon dove and cut off the pitch just like Manny did to Damon in 2004. Pretty funny moment!

Guy Love Live

At a screening of Zach Braff's new film, Wish I Was Here, he brought out his best friend (and film co-star) Donald Faison and the two had an impromptu (?) and live version of their hit duet, Guy Love, from the Scrubs episode, My Musical! Man, this is just great. These two are true bromances on and off the set of whatever they collaborate on.

The BriTANick Television Show!

We've loved BriTANick, the greatest YouTube comedians ever, for a long time here on the blog of ultimate power so it is quite nice to see them finally getting recognition! They've already announced the production of a BriTANick movie, but before that their videos started to become more and more popular. Funny or Die picked them up and then Cartoon Network had them host bumpers. Danny Pudi, Joss Whedon, and Nathan Fillion are just three of the celebrities they've had make appearances in their viral hits. Plus, they were the two guys Barney Stinson passed the "bro" torch to in the final season of How I Met Your Mother. Now, Comedy Central has given BriTANick, made up of Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney, a half-hour, scripted pilot which hopefully will be ordered to series. The show will be called BriTANick, but instead of it being filled with sketches, Brian and Nick will play versions of themselves with stories about their real lives. You could say I am very excited for this! Nick made sure our fears were assuaged by saying the BriTANick movie is still on. I cannot wait and I'm very happy for the two!

Bonus Points for Weezer!

Patrick Wilson, the drummer for the band Weezer, was in the middle of helping his musical mates play the song Beverly Hills in St. Augustine. When a frisbee came on stage, he handled it masterfully. Just take a look. I don't want to spoil anything.

Are You Here Poster

A new poster has been released from Matthew Weiner's new film, Are You Here. The three leading actors in the movie are Owen Wilson (good), Zach Galifanakis (better), and Amy Poehler (best). Owen and Zach play childhood best friends with Galifanakis inheriting a large amount of money following his father's death. Amy plays his sister and relationships are tested. Seems like it might be on the more dramatic side despite having three comedic actors, but I'd consider seeing it. Thought I'd share because of the greatness that is Amy Poehler.

Drunk History Season Two

No plot details or stories have been released yet, but some guest stars have been announced! The second season of Comedy Central's Drunk History debuts on July 1, but until then, here are some names announced to be popping up during the course of its second run.

David Cross
Jordan Peele
Laura Dern
Winona Ryder
Patton Oswalt
Chris Parnell
Charlie Day
John Lithgow
Tony Hale
Stephen Merchant
Alia Shawkat
Johnny Knoxville
Jesse Plemons
Courtney Cox
Nick Kroll
Joe Lo Truglio
Terry Crews

Plus, of course, some recurring celebrities will stop by again like Jason Ritter, Martin Starr, Casey Wilson, and Bobby Moynihan. Lots of actors and actresses being named on the blog today. Sorry about that, but there's some crazy casting news lately!

Sons of Liberty Miniseries

History Channel has a new miniseries coming called Sons of Liberty. It will obviously deal with the American Revolution and obvious details have been released so far. For example, the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre, the Shot Heard 'Round the World. All the things we know and love from the colonial 1770s will be featured in the show. But more importantly, the full cast has been released and you'll have to tell me what you think about how the group stacks up. Ben Barnes from The Chronicles of Narnia movies will be portraying Samuel Adams, a well-known figure in American history. The Blacklist's Ryan Eggold will take on the role of Doctor Joseph Warren. Michael James of True Blood fame landed the coveted spot of midnight rider, Paul Revere. From Prometheus, Rafe Spall gets to portray the man with the signature, John Hancock. Henry Thomas, Elliot from E.T., is John Adams, Sam's cousin. The Lord of the Rings trilogy's Marton Csokas and 24's Emily Berrington will play married couple Thomas and Margaret Gage, respectively. Lastly, and most notably, Dean Norris (Hank Schrader on Breaking Bad) will be Benjamin Franklin, the leader of them all. I'm actually intrigued. What do you think?

Quality Commencement Speeches

2014 had a pretty good slew of commencement speeches at colleges from notable figures in the United States. Comedic talent was abundant on graduation stages, especially when it comes to alums from The Office. Check out some of the best!

A familiar science guy named Bill Nye took a more scientific approach to his commencement speech, naturally.

Comedian Jim Carrey had a surprisingly heartfelt speech. The tone was much different than what most students expected.

Perhaps the most widely-appealing and acclaimed speech from 2014 came from Charlie Day of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Pacific Rim fame.

The funniest speech definitely came from Mindy Kaling. She spoke at Harvard and delighted the world, once again. Her brilliant writing skills definitely shone in this.

I believe my personal favorite speech comes from Ed Helms, who played Andy Bernard on The Office. Andy is notably a Cornell University alum and many jokes come from this. He addresses The Office during his speech and it is a meta experience as a whole.

Burgertyme

Looks like the New England Patriots have one of those charming, comedic personalities on their team. Wide receiver Julian Edelman sat down with linebacker Chandler Jones to talk about "life, football, and burgers." It's actually a humorous segment. Perhaps, Edelman has yet another talent. Maybe he'll be the Alex Karras type of football player? Who knows?!

Supporting Actors and Actresses

The Hollywood Reporter gathered thirty supporting actors and actresses who have garnered attention from the Emmy Awards. These are considered to be the thirty television actors with the best chance at receiving an Emmy nomination. All of them were put in one photograph with interviews that can be found on the website! Some of the actors pictured include Adam Pally (The Mindy Project), T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley), Retta (Parks and Recreation), Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Jim Rash (Community), Lamorne Morris (New Girl), Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother), and Olivia Munn (The Newsroom). Good bunch!

Girls Guest Stars

Two contemporary comedic greats will be making guest appearances on the fourth season of HBO's humorous hit show, Girls. The only information about Jason Ritter's new character on the season, which has yet to begin filming, is his character's name, Scott. Gillian Jacobs, however, will play a character named Mimi-Rose Howard in the fifth episode. Her character has a few more details as Jacobs said she will not be anything like Britta from Community. Nevertheless (and regardless of episode amount), the two will be great on Girls!

Canadiens Pay Up

As told by Twitter and Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, the Montreal Canadiens made a bet with Jimmy regarding the Eastern Conference Finals between the Canadiens and the New York Rangers. After some bargaining the deal was brought to fruition. If the Canadiens won the series, Jimmy would have to wear a Montreal jersey for an entire monologue. If the Rangers won, the Montreal mascot Youppi would have to wear a Rangers jersey and take ten pictures in it around the Canadian city. Plus, they would have to change their Twitter avatar to a picture of Jimmy's choosing. Well, the Rangers won easily. So, Jimmy chose this:

They changed it and then complied with the photo task.

Jimmy loved it.

But, as much as we love to hate the Habs, they're back to normal, now.

To see all ten photos, check out the Canadiens Twitter feed. Fun stuff!

Bill Murray Is a Legend

Bill Murray is popping up everywhere lately and he has become a social media icon in addition to his status as pop culture and film legend. First, in the picture above, he was invited into the photograph of an engaged couple after he tried to make them laugh from behind the camera during the shoot. In the video below, bachelor party guests at a bar invited him to join them in their festivities and he gave them some wise words to take in. Murray is a God.

Inside Out Plot

Plot details about Pixar's next film, Inside Out, have finally been released. Riley, an eleven year old girl, will serve as "the setting, not the main character." She is moving from the midwest to San Francisco and her emotions, Joy (Amy Poehler), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Anger (Lewis Black), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), and Fear (Bill Hader), try to help her navigate her new life. It sounds very interesting to me and I always love when any type of book or film or whatever deals with the inner-workings of the brain. Inside Out will apparently involve the science behind memory, feelings, and more. Plus, the cast is just a big comedy all-star romp. It will be one of two Pixar movies in 2015, the other being The Good Dinosaur. Seems interesting!

A Situation Through Tweets

The awful shootings at UCSB prompted some unwise remarks from a "journalist" named Ann Hornaday. To better explain, here are tweets, remarks, and the conversation of it all.

So, just to summarize: Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, Sarah Silverman, Huffington Post, and Sammy are on the right side of this. Ann Hornaday, Jessica Golds, and Salon are not. They are just not moral people. It's all very interesting, though.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

Okay, let's just get this out of the way. Wes Anderson's newest film has an amazing cast. Ralph Fiennes, Tony Revolori, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Edward Norton, F. Murray Abraham, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson, and Owen Wilson. It is like the crown jewel of Wes Anderson films. I think The Grand Budapest Hotel is my favorite film of 2014 thus far. The narrative was incredibly interesting and the plot was superb. Couple that with the Andersonian way of film-making and the entire movie was an ornate, aesthetically-pleasing, fascinating delve into a period in time that stands alone, just like the hotel. I loved it!

Bill Hader and HBO

Bill Hader has signed a deal with HBO! He will create and star in a show for HBO. I know I'll be watching because I'm certainly excited for it. There aren't any more details yet, but this should suffice for now. It'll be good to have Bill back on television! Plus, he's still creating that amazing-sounding show with Seth Meyers and Fred Armisen.

Would Drew Barrymore Like That?

One of the most popular segments in the lore of Billy on the Street is the game, Would Drew Barrymore Like That? Will Ferrell played it once, but in an incredibly important, exclusive Fuse video, Drew Barrymore plays it! Watch the video and find out who knows more about Drew Barrymore. Drew or Billy Eichner?

Jason Mraz on American Idol

Jason Mraz's new big song from his YES! album is Love Someone and he took to the season finale of American Idol to perform it with finalist, Alex Preston. Obviously, Mraz is streets ahead of Preston, but I like the song. Cannot wait to hear the rest of YES!

Neighbors

Yes, I saw Seth Rogen's first film installment since This Is the End. It wasn't as good, of course, but it was still enjoyable and humorous. I'm glad some cliches were avoided, like the married couple at odds with one another the wrong-doers interpreted as the good guys by law enforcement. The fight sequence between Seth and Zac Efron was the highlight of the film, but they were both surrounded by quality actors. Ike Barinholtz was in more of the film than I expected and that was welcomed. Dave Franco consistently plays a weirdly-convincing foil for most characters. Rose Byrne was excellent and she clearly is great with comedy. Plus, the rapid-fire cameos were enjoyable. Zac Efron recounting the great frats of past brought in short scenes with Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone (otherwise known as The Lonely Island), Jake Johnson, and the Workaholics crew (Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, and Anders Holm), respectively. As for Rogen, I'm most looking forward to his upcoming film with James Franco, The Interview, but Neighbors was still good, nonetheless.

Cookie Crossover

They finally did it. The folks at Nabisco came to their senses and put the cream from Oreos inside of a Chips Ahoy cookie. I can only assume it is legendary. Hopefully, one day I will try one. I bet so because the packaging does not say "Limited Edition" anywhere. It reminds me of those ice cream sandwich things. Looks kind of the same. Yep. Okay. Cookies and such.

Billy Joel's Birthday Party

One of the many surprises and surprise guests at Billy Joel's 65th birthday party at Madison Square Garden was Jimmy Fallon and the Ragtime Galls performing a rousing rendition of the Happy Birthday song! Jimmy also sang The Lion Sleeps Tonight once more with Billy Joel. Two legends!

Saturday Night Live: Best Host of Season 39

Entertainment Weekly conducted a poll after every episode of Saturday Night Live from this season. The goal was to ultimately determine the best of the best. After every week, one host would be eliminated from the poll to keep it consistently at five. By the end, only Jimmy Fallon, Josh Hutcherson, Anna Kendrick, and Andrew Garfield were left. Andy Samberg hosted the finale so he got in the final poll automatically. One wild card was added back in and her name is Tina Fey. The six were in a poll together for Best Host and Jimmy Fallon won with his standout Christmas episode with Justin Timberlake and 28.79 percent of the vote, beating out Hutcherson by just .81 percent. He's very deserving, though! I know that was my favorite episode of the season.

Parks and Recreation Will End

Parks and Recreation's upcoming seventh season will be its last. This is incredibly sad news because so many quality shows are dropping off. Psych, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, and 30 Rock all signed off in the past year and a half. Wilfred's ending this summer. Now, Parks and Rec? God, my heart cannot take it. I'm sure we'll see Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe in the series finale, at least, but we definitely get to look forward to thirteen more episodes (which will premiere midseason. Goddamnit, NBC) with a stallar cast of Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, Aziz Ansari, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Nick Offerman, Jim O'Heir, and Retta. It is a legendary ensemble comedy and I am looking forward to seeing the final season, but not it ending. After all, it was my favorite show from the 2013-14 season. You will live on in our hearts forever, Parks and Rec!

We Came Together Trailer

This is the one. This is the movie. This is my movie for 2014. I cannot wait to see this. What can be better than Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler parodying the romantic comedy genre with a rom-com of their own? The trailer is very funny and it quickly makes fun of typical tropes in this type of film. Plus, with a supporting cast of Cobie Smulders, Max Greenfield, Bill Hader, Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms, Kenan Thompson, and Jack MacBrayer, I have literally no apprehensions about this film. I just cannot wait to see it and enjoy!

New FOX Trailers

Two new shows I'm highly anticipating for the new television season are The Last Man on Earth and Mulaney. Both have SNL veterans in the cast. Mulaney obviously has John Mulaney, Nasim Pedrad, and Martin Short. The Last Man on Earth stars Will Forte. Only. I'm so excited. I love Mulaney's stand-up and the line about the gunshot in the trailer is right up my alley. The Last Man on Earth seems like an interesting concept and I really hope people give it a shot. Nevertheless, I will be tuning into these two!

The Scrubs Post!

After How I Met Your Mother ended, I needed a comedy with heart to fill the emotional void in my heart. With a great decision, I chose to binge Scrubs. I finished all eight seasons in a little over two months. You'll notice I said eight seasons. That is because the "ninth" season never happened. Nope. Scrubs ended with My Finale. Yes, it did. Scrubs was such a great show. So many great aspects to it. Dr. Cox's rants, the Janitor's stories, J.D. and Turk's bromance, the fantasy sequences, the flashbacks, the recurring characters. Everything about Scrubs was awesome. It is, of course, one of my favorites so I had no problem watching it from start to finish, despite having seen multiple episodes before. I thought to commemorate my binge, I would list my eleven favorite episodes and rank every relationship between the main seven characters. (Sorry, Ted, Laverne, Jordan, and the Todd!) Here, we go!

Episodes:

12. My Jiggly Ball: There are multiple episodes in Scrubs where you get an in-depth, emotional look to each character. In My Jiggly Ball, we get a better look at Dr. Kelso. An old man who needs to use his deprecating sense of humor to keep his sanity at the hospital. He's obviously burdened by the job and in this episode, he chooses to save the life of a rich hospital trustee instead of Dr. Cox's friend. After doing this, he gets enough money from the trustee, he is able to reopen the service which gives prenatal care to underprivileged women. As Dr. Cox angrily stews in his dead patient's room, Kelso watches from behind and leaves the hospital without whistling jauntily as he usually does. It's deeply emotional. Shows Kelso is human and it made me like him as a character.

11. My Princess: Dr. Cox tells his son a bedtime story based upon the day's events at the hospital. The cast plays their standard roles and the roles created by Dr. Cox. This is also the first episode of Scrubs I ever watched so it has some nostalgia value.

10. My Old Lady: J.D., Turk, and Elliot fight through the entire day, fearing the looming potential of death to their respective patients. One out of every three patients admitted to the hospital will die there, according to J.D., but the odds were worse in this episode. All three of the interns lose their patients. J.D.'s patient, the old lady (played by Kathryn Joosten), helps him come to terms with his first death in the hospital. She also gives him advice in life. Elliot learns she cannot second guess herself and realizes she made the right call. Turk learned the value of connecting with patients. This is the first emotional episode of Scrubs where you could tell what kind of show it was going to be. One of the saddest scenes is the montage while Hallelujah plays.

9. My Porcelain God: J.D. and Elliot seek advice from Dr. Ken Casey (played by Michael J. Fox). We get to see a troubled side to the short-live, fun character of Ken Casey. His OCD easily gets the better of him and J.D. can see it. From Janitor's thinking spot on the roof, Elliot has an epiphany and a really cool sequence where Ken Casey seems like Superman. It's really an adventurous episode.

8. His Story: The first of the His/Her/Their episodes is a classic. We get a peek into Dr. Cox's inner monologue and how he really feels about J.D. He respects him. It's just one of those fun episodes you can watch out of sequence at anytime. I like it.

7. My Musical: It wouldn't be a list of Scrubs episodes without the musical episode! It truly embodied the huge impact of music on Scrubs. Plus, it immortalized the legendary connection between J.D. and Turk with the song, Guy Love, that is still being sung today. Amazing.

6. My Fallen Idol: The episode after My Lunch (you'll see that soon). We get a better look into Dr. Cox than His Story, surprisingly. Plus, we get to see the true relationship between J.D. and Dr. Cox. Deep down, at the very core, these two care about each other. J.D.'s speech to Dr. Cox is forever one of my favorite moments on the show and Dr. Cox thanking J.D. is also a beautiful scene. Here's the quote:

"You're probably wondering why I didn't show up before, huh? I know you wanted me to, even though you'd never admit it. Normally I would kill to get into this apartment. And you would try and keep me out. I say try because at your Super Bowl party, which I was not invited to, I was lucky enough to watch the second half from right over there. I was the bearded Domino's employee you invited in because I said I was a fan of Jerome Bettis, whoever the hell that is. Anyway, I tried to convince myself the reason I didn't come earlier was because of you coming into work drunk. But that's not it. I was scared. I guess after all this time, I still think of you as this superhero that will help me out of any situation I'm in. I needed that. But that's my problem, you know? And I'll deal with that. I guess I came over here to tell you how proud of you I am. Not because you did the best you could for those patients. But because after twenty years of being a doctor, when things go badly, you still take it this hard. And I gotta tell you, man, I mean, that's the kind of doctor I want to be."

Amazing.

5. My Screw-Up: This is a heart-wrenching episode and contains what many consider to be one of the saddest moments in the history of television. One of J.D.'s patients dies and Dr. Cox blames J.D. for the death and the rest of the episode is Perry and his best friend, Ben, (played by Brendan Fraser) trying to deal with everything going on at the hospital after the occurrences. When going to Dr. Cox's son's birthday party, Ben tells him to forgive himself for the patient's death and he does. Then, he asks about the camera for pictures of all the average birthday party happenings. J.D. says "Where do you think we are?" and just like that, Ben is gone. And he'd been dead the whole time. It's very sad and emotional. Check out the clip here:

4. My Life in Four Cameras: J.D., while facing the death of a patient, wishes his life was more like a sitcom where things always work out for the best. Everything is brighter, more orderly, and fixed. Janitor receives applause from the audience. Laughter pours in from the fourth wall. But this is not what happens. The reality is far harsher. Very funny, but sad episode. Good description of the majority of Scrubs episodes.

3. My Finale: This episode contains my favorite moment in television history. The end. There's so much greatness in the episode from start to finish. J.D. and Turk's goodbye and final "Eeeeeagle!", J.D.'s moment with Carla, the handshake with Kelso, Glenn Matthews, Dr. Cox's sentiment, the hallway, and the final fantasy. So very great it can only be described with some clips:

Flawless.

2. My Way Home: The entire episode is one big illusion to The Wizard of Oz. The Worthless Peons singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, the Janitor painting a yellow line, painting J.D.'s shoes red, Dr. Cox saying "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain," Turk needing a heart, Carla needing courage, Elliot needing a brain, and J.D. needing to go home. "Going home, Dorothy?" It all came together so perfectly and I just really do love this episode. Plus, J.D. sings Africa so that's fun!

1. My Lunch: Just the absolute best episode of Scrubs. I knew it was coming. It's so emotional, sad, and just overall powerful. I clearly love the heartfelt episodes. The last three minutes of the episode are very strong. Plus, again (it seems to be a recurring theme) J.D. and Dr. Cox's relationship is heavily shown. I really don't wan to say much more, but here is this clip:

Bonus clips!

Hooch is crazy.

Now, to rank the relationships of the main characters! Fun fun! This is in place of ranking characters, an impossible task.

21. Carla and Janitor: They really never did too much together.
20. Turk and Janitor: Barely even knew each other was there.
19. Turk and Kelso: "Turkleton."
18. Carla and Kelso: The classic story of nurse versus boss.
17. Janitor and Kelso: A charming back and forth for a management position.
16. Elliot and Kelso: A little bit more going on here.
15. Dr. Cox and Elliot: Never had the same connection he had with J.D.
14. Turk and Dr. Cox: Turk stood up to Perry more than J.D. ever did.
13. Elliot and Janitor: A fleeting crush made for some humor, but not much else.
12. Turk and Elliot: They started out as friends by association, but became real friends.
11. J.D. and Kelso: For some reason, there always seemed to be a mutual respect here.
10. Dr. Cox and Janitor: Another relationship built on respect.
9. Dr. Cox and Carla: The crush thing was weird, but these two truly are friends.
8. J.D. and Elliot: I'm not a big Elliot fan, but these two were always endgame.
7. J.D. and Carla: He's Bambi!
6. Elliot and Carla: They started out as unable to tolerate each other, but they became "best friends."
5. Turk and Carla: A very real relationship. Like actual relationship. With marriage.
4. Dr. Cox and Kelso: As much as they claimed to hate each other, they needed one another.
3. J.D. and Janitor: They're just so much fun to watch together, especially in the first season with improv.
2. J.D. and Turk: I know they're the big bromance and I truly love that. But they're second to...
1. J.D. and Dr. Cox: Of course. This is one of my all-time favorite television relationships.

I love Scrubs.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

I did, in fact, see the second installment in the rebooted Spider-Man film franchise. It was quite enjoyable. The film seemed to be a return to classic Spider-Man form due to its use of snark, sarcasm, and "cartoon-y" aspects. Peter Parker was the quick-witted youth he was in the comics again and while I still prefer Tobey Maguire to Andrew Garfield, I didn't really mind all that much. Lots of the critics hated it because of its cartoonish nature and overuse of villains, but it wasn't that bad. Green Goblin and Electro were really the only villains Spider-Man had to defeat. Rhino was in it for all of five minutes and B.J. Novak's Alistair Smythe was in it for less (although, I do expect Smythe to be a big player going forward in the films). Plus, what draws me to Spider-Man and makes me one of his favorites is the cartoonish nature. It's more comic book-y and like a true superhero type thing where he fights crime in New York while all this goes on. It was cool. I liked it. Plus. Gwen Stacy. I won't say anything, but oof. C'est la vie. Good film.

New Fantasyland Complete

It's been a little under five years since Disney's major announcement of a huge expansion to Fantasyland which would incorporate more of The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Dumbo. Now, after many stages of opening, lots of construction, and constant progress updates, Fantasyland is open. The new, complete Fantasyland. Stuff like the Beast's castle, Under the Sea ride, The Great Goofini, and multiple Dumbo rides had been open for a while. Now, though, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride has opened officially to acclaim and the project is complete. It was quite the journey and I am pleased to have followed it from start to finish. Congrats, Disney! You done good.

The year's third list (after the 60 Best Television Moments and 75 Best Songs, both of which I could probably update to make them better now, but ah, well) has come to a close and once again I have to provide a recap! School Is Out

School's out for summer! June 13 was my last day of school and it brought about a conclusion to a good year. A year where I no longer dreaded school. And I certainly like that. As per tradition, I give you Alice Cooper. Good day and good year!

Best Movie Characters: 1

Indiana mother effin' Jones. He's been in the header since the start so you had to know he'd be in it. And of course he's at the very top of the list. Indiana Jones is the best character in the history of all movies. He just is. He is a bad-ass explorer who travels to the ends of the earth to go on adventures you would never expect from an archaeology professor. And who better to play this amazing character than the rugged Harrison Ford? Plus, bonus points for being the only person to ever rock the fedora. Indian Jones is, simply, the best.

Uh, Yes Please!

That is the brilliance of the title of Amy Poehler's upcoming memoir. She titled it Yes Please. Now, whenever anyone mentions it, it sounds like they're saying they want to read the book.

"Amy Poehler's new book, Yes Please."
"Amy Poehler's new book? Yes please!"

See what she did? Yeah ya do. Anyway, the book will be released on October 28, 2014 and I cannot wait. I can't, I can't! This is now the new book I am most anticipating. I just it know it will be great and funny. Plus, she released the book cover! Huzzah!

Seth Meyers on the Time 100

Time's annual list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World has been released once again and Seth Meyers is on it! Just as Jimmy Fallon was one year ago, Meyers, the new host of Late Night, has joined the esteemed and reverential ranks. Some of the other notable people on the list are Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, Barack Obama, Pope Francis, Charlie Rose, Amy Adams, Jason Collins, and Hillary Clinton. Meyers is, obviously, the most deserving person on the list and Amy Poehler wrote a very nice, humorous piece about him for the issue. Check it out. Congrats, Seth!

Best Movie Characters: 2

From the greatest film ever made comes the second-greatest character in the history of movies. George Bailey. Jimmy Stewart put everything into his role and he made it iconic. George cared more about everyone else than himself. He was ambitious, but selfless and we rooted for him despite his fatal flaw. If no man is a failure who has friends, then George Bailey is far from a failure. He's the direct opposite of a failure. He has a wonderful life. No doubt about it.

A Conversation with Mindy and Billy

In an Entertainment Weekly feature, Mindy Kaling interviewed Billy Crystal! The conversation is about television, chemistry, collaboration, and, of course, When Harry Met Sally. This is read I will treasure for always. One generation of romantic comedy devotion speaking directly to another. Hell, one era of comedy, alone, speaking to the other. Gold. You can read it here, if you want to.

Maroon 5's New Album: V

On September 2, 2014, Maroon 5 will release its fifth (5, fifth, Maroon 5? Huh? Huh? Get it. Cool) album called V. V is of course the Roman numeral for five. Pretty clever. This is pretty neat. Jason Mraz also has his fifth album coming out this year. Lots of fifth albums. Was the Coldplay album released this year the fifth one? Nope. Just looked it up. It was the sixth. Oh, well. C'est la vie. Still cool all around!

Best Movie Characters: 3

I'm pretty sure every list ever made of great movie characters has Ferris Bueller on it, if not near the top. Well, he's in the top three on mine! Deservedly so. In fact, Bueller is in my header, if you didn't already figure that out. Matthew Broderick's 80's (and John Hughes) icon charmed the world with his hijinks that were all in a day's work. Forever, the world will get to relish in the simple beauty of his day's off. Keep on, keepin' on, Ferris Bueller.

Mister Rogers Explained to Modern Kids

As we all know, Mister Fred Rogers is a cultural icon and symbol of kindness. He was so good-hearted and just a real, stand-up fellow. Buzzfeed explained Mister Rogers to modern children. The modern youth! The video is good, but how discouraging to grow up in a world without Mister Rogers. Every day is a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Jason Mraz: YES!

Jason Mraz has long teased his fifth album on both Instagram and Twitter. He started work on it almost immediately after Love Is a Four Letter Word was released. But, he finally announced that this summer, YES!, his fifth album is going to be released! FINALLY! YES! It's coming July 15 and I cannot wait until he starts previewing some of the songs. It's going to be so very quality!

Best Movie Characters: 4

The proverbial leader of the breakfast club in The Breakfast Club, Judd Nelson's John Bender comes in at number four. He is the epitome of "bad boy 80's burnout." He is a pretty interesting character, clearly having a bad home life, choosing to act out because it's easier than thinking of making something of himself. But he does make something of himself. He brings together high school stereotypes against all odds. One might think he does this every Saturday, but we get just the one. Just the perfectly amazing one.

This Week's Entertainment by Davids

Andy Samberg's Saturday Night Live

Andy Samberg hosted the 2013-14 season finale of Saturday Night Live and, in my opinion, it was one of the better, funnier episodes of the season. My favorite was, of course, the Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake extravaganza for Christmas, but this one was still good. So many awesome people made cameos for the Samberg return. Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short, Seth Meyers, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaeffer all appeared in the episode and it was awesome. Here are some of the best sketches of the night. Quality episode!

The Return of the Vogelcheck Family

Impression-Off Monologue

When Will the Bass Drop?

Samberg also got back into the cage as Nicolas Cage with Paul Rudd. Naturally, it was hilarious, but there's no clip! Ah, well. Bass drop!

Best Movie Characters: 5

Jeff Goldblum's legendary Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park kicks off the top five. He's awesome. He's smart, suave, and easy-going. I'm very glad he was invited to join the dinosaur mania that ensued in the film. My only problem is that Ian is by far the most interesting character in Jurassic Park, but he is taken out of the equation far too early. Malcolm is injured and stuck inside for the rest of the film. C'est la vie.

Perfectionism in Cards Against Humanity

Sometimes things just work out perfectly in the iconic card game, Cards Against Humanity. Fortunately for us, Buzzfeed complied twenty-four of these instances and they are all filled with such fun humor. You can enjoy them all here, but my favorite is above, as per usual. Some of the cards just work perfectly, no?

New England Sky Screamer Opens

The new tallest swing ride in the world has officially opened at Six Flags New England. The New England Sky Screamer swings at forty miles per hour at four hundred feet tall. Seems pretty frightening, I don't know if I can do it. It is record-breaking. Must have a nice view!

Best Movie Characters: 6

Here we are just on the outside of the top five with Buddy the Elf, my favorite Will Ferrell role. He is blissfully optimistic, cheery, warm, ingenuous, and he just makes the people around him want to be better. More people should try to be like Buddy. Also, he's on the header!

Culkin-ception

A picture of Ryan Gosling wearing a t-shirt with Macaulay Culkin on it was printed onto a t-shirt that Macauly Culkin could wear with Ryan Gosling wearing a Macauly Culkin t-shirt on it. Get all that? It's just good, old Hollywood fun. Bad photoshop came after, but so far, this is where the Culkin-ception ended. For now.
