Farewell, Eric Chavez

He was one of my favorite players and one of the best to ever go through Oakland. Six-time Gold Glove award winner Eric Chavez has officially retired from Major League Baseball. We all knew this day would come eventually, but he played longer than I expected! Seventeen years, in fact, complete with six Gold Gloves, one Silver Slugger, and a .268 average. Farewell, Chavez. You were one of the greats!
