Just Like The Phillies
I've been slumping in May for blog posts. What do I do about that? I have to get 1 more post that makes sense in the next 6 hours to be on track for 31 posts, about 1 a day. The Phils have been slumpin' too...sooo Happy Memorial Day! What else do I post? Uhmm.. Now that the Magic were beaten by the Celtics, I'm rooting for the Celts and for my 31st post it will be my cover...oh yeah!

Take That Logic!
The last episode of LOST was interesting. I had never watched a single episode of LOST before in my life. But I did see bits and pieces of it. Luckily, last night before the series finale there was a recap. How convenient, right? Well in that two hour recap a lot of people died. Boone, Charlie, Juliet, Sayid, Jin, and Sun. Kind of depressing, right? I know! The ending of the finale, I felt it was unfinished. I'm not going to give anything away, alright? Well, I thought it was kind of weird in the last scenes that Michael and Walt weren't there with the rest of the cast to say 'Hello' to Jack as Hurley, Sawyer, Kate, and Boone did (with a big hug from Hurley). Maybe when Jack is lying on the ground and Vincent went and snuggled with him that implied Michael and Walt. About Vincent and Hurley.
I was glad that Hurley and Vincent and Sawyer survived because I liked them. Sayid could've lived too though :P. Hurley and Vincent stayed on the island which is loyalty so I like em more! Hurley even became the island's protector! How about them apples.
I liked when the smoke monster was in Locke's body and him and Jack were on the cliff fighting. Jack did get stabbed, stupid smoke monster disposing of a main character. But Kate came and shot the smoke monster. While he was lying on the ground, Jack kicked the smoke monster into the river. Yay teamwork! Hurley almost died but Ben saved him! Jack did die. Why would they keep a main character all the way until the last minute and then poof adios. I don't know.
You could've interpreted it in many different ways. I wanted to interpret that the flash sideways universe was the real universe and the island universe was just a dream they all had. Like a book. Jack opens his eye in the first episode to begin the dream or book and then at the last episode closed his eye to end the dream or book. The flash sideways universe I think when they all connected they all felt that they all the same dream and then they all became friends in the real universe but none of them were really dead. Get it? Ok! Very nicely done LOST. Just like this post with the open eye to begin it and the closing eye of Jack to end the post. But I wanted to interpret that but it's not. I wanted them to be happy and together and alive but that's not what happened so :(

We Will Be Sad, You Gold Glovin' Athletic
Eric Chavez. My fourth favorite player in the MLB behind only Dustin Pedroia, Jayson Werth, and Nick Markakis. Back in 2006, I collected a lot of baseball cards. Eric Chavez was one of em. I became attached to him and in 07 it grew with this great play he made:
Six-time Gold Glove third baseman Eric Chavez ended the Yankees' 10th with a great falling, barehanded grab on the dirt in foul territory after the ball popped out of his glove, and earlier hit a two-run homer. Check the video out here: Eric Chavez Great Play. Sorry there was no Youtube video. Click on play. Scroll all the way down until you see Eric Chavez's play.
He has had many injuries and has not played for a long period of time. I think his injuried started in '08. Well this year he had neck spasms and it may be the end of his career. Even if he does retire he should make the Hall of Fame. Why? Here's why:
- He's seen as the A's team captain since 2000 even though they don't have one.
- He was the 10th overall pick in the 1996 draft.
- His career stats are .267 batting average, 229 home runs, and 778 RBI's.
- He has played for the A's for his entire career: loyalty.
- He was 2002's Silver Slugger award winner for third base.
- A's team MVP many times.
- 6 time Gold Glove award winner. Won award in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006.
- Lead the AL in base on balls in 2004.
- He hit for the cycle in 2000.
- He is number 231 on the list of the Top 500 home run hitters of all time, 38th among active hitters.
- Minor League Player of the Year.
- September 2001 AL Player of the Month.
Good luck Eric Chavez. You're awesome!

Who You Got?
Ryan Seacrest tries to be a part of the Top 4 but he isn't. Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, and Lee Dewyze. I'm going with Lee and Crystal and Lee wins. 'Cause of his name sounds like Lead The Wise. Lee Dewyze! Tim Urban should be here. In 2005 I picked Elliot Yamin and Katherine McPhee and got Katherine right. In 2006 I picked Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks and went 2-2. In '07 I had David Archuleta and David Cook, two David's, two right's. Season 8, '08 I picked Kris Allen and Danny Gokey and got Kris right. Lee and Crystal better prove me right. Who you got?

1 Million Champ!
Even More Thorougly Disappointed
The Bruins collapsed. Lucic was the only one who tried in Game 7, possibly the only one from Game 4 on. They had a 3-0 lead twice and blew it 4-3. But that's ok. I still have the Magic to fall back on and also they will be hungry for more next year. So hungry I think they will win the Stanley Cup 2011.

I Am Thorougly Disappointed (So Disappointed I Don't Care If I Spelled Thorougly Right)
Just how dumb are people? Law and Order is tied for longest running drama of all time with Gunsmoke. So you think they go for one more season right? Wrong. People are dumb. So much seasons, effort, actors gone. You can't be tied. Gunsmoke in my mind still has it which is why they are dumb for cancelling it. I now officialy hate NBC officials and Law and Order dumb people. I don't hate NBC but I do hate their officials. For one last time: bum bum.

Would Ya Look At That?
Band Aid -- "Do They Know It's Christmas?"My all-time favorite Christmas song. For some reason, I hadn't seen the video in ages and forgot the lineup of singers other than Bono (who has the headscratching, "Well, tonight thank God it's them, instead of you!" line that I've never been able to figure out). In the video, that line works even better because it follows the duet with Simon LeBon and Sting, and suddenly there's a young Bono standing behind them and wearing Uncle Jessie's haircut from "Full House" ... and the three of them share one mike as Bono belts his weird line out. Even stranger, Sting never gets his own line -- he's just singing background for everyone else, which was insane because he was the biggest star there.
Here's what kills me about this video (other than George Michael's haircut): Not only does Paul Young bat leadoff, they go back to him for another solo in the middle! Paul Young! They had the lead singer of the hottest band at the time (Duran Duran's LeBon), the best singer of the entire decade (Sting) and a budding superstar (Bono) ... and they kicked things off with Paul Young? Who was in charge of Band Aid, Bob Geldof or Jimy Williams? I was trying to think of a sports equivalent of this -- like John Starks getting named to the '92 Dream Team, then starting over MJ and Drexler -- but it's impossible. It's too ludicrous. You can't come up with the sports equivalent of Paul Young getting the nod over Bono, Sting and Simon LeBon. I watched this clip 10 times in two weeks and still couldn't figure it out. And you wonder what I do all day.
(And while we're here, the "We Are The World" video is equally fantastic, although every joke has been made at this point. Just know that Dan Aykroyd cracking the chorus group gets 3 percent funnier each year.)

Well wouldya look at that. Bill Simmons also thinks Do They Know It's Christmas is the best christmas song! Check it out for proof:

Time Flies
Yes! It's May 3rd! The One Year Anniversary of This Blog! My Power Is Beyond Your Understanding! Mazel Tov! Huzzah! Happy Birthday! You know what's ironic? My birthday is in 2 days! Let's take a trip down memory lane and I'll remind you about a special post from each month!
- May 2009- The Hoedown Throwdown: My first post with the song Hoedown Throwdown from the Hannah Montana movie.
- June 2009- The Life Of A Bored Computer: A post that wrote The Life of a Bored Computer using letters from the logos of popular websites!
- July 2009- Theme Thursday- Ghost: I only had 7 posts during this month because it was my dry spell and I was having summer fun but this Theme Thursday I posted a video of the Three Men and a Baby ghost.
- August 2009- Top 50 Youtube Videos of All Time: Of course new videos came out after but I put a lot of work into this post. It took me 5 days!
- September 2009- Save The Animals With Pepsi: This was the month of 104 posts! It contained my 100th post, 150th post, and 100th post of September. It had predictions and lists but this picture I made really showed meaning to the blog. This is where my blog became something different.
- October 2009- As We Say In Joysee It's Poyfect: This is the post right before I left for a vacation in Florida. I posted the Mutts comic strip of the dog looking at his list of things to do and it said 1. Nothing 2. Nothing 3. Nothing. Then he runs to the beach.
- November 2009- Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Awesomeness (And Two Bonuses!): Who cares about the bonuses the first video is just insane! It shows a roller coaster (virtual) crashing into hundreds of people off the track!
- December 2009- Why So Breakable?: Many of you though decade in review or year in review but hah! No! My Tenth Daughter of Memory Post for Fear in Shattered Color showed the story of a cat's clumsiness bringing a family closer for Christmas.
- January 2010- And The Winner of the Funniest Comic Strip of 2009 Is...: You guessed it! My month long tournament to find the funniest comic strip of 2009 ended here and Zits came away with the victory!
- February 2010- Family Circus Finally!: After 3o long years of non funny Circus strips they got it right in '10 with a funny strip of George Washington! Hallelujah!
- March 2010- Disney World Bracket: Bracket month swept my blog and I made a bracket about all the things of Disney World. Obviously it came down to Splash Mountain and Magic Kingdom with the Kingdom winning it all.
- April 2010- Pretty Sure That's Not Supposed To Happen: This post showed me going through my Google Reader when the comic strip boasted two different titles. Strange ain't it?
