TV's Best October Quote

30 Rock:

*Kenneth's shoelace comes untied and the other one follows:*

Kenneth:

"Oh! Now you too! Have you two been talking?"

It is followed closely by Adam on Rules of Engagement who, after Jeff broke his pencil, said:

"My pencil..."

Final Halloween Month Post

Today is Halloween. Happy Halloween! This is my costume! I'm a Smurf!
This is the Jack-O-Lantern I carved with the help of my dad. It's surprised!

Happy Halloween!

Deadline: At Least After Halloween

Bayberry Spice and Everything Nice. Hood- Golden Eggnog. A Christmas Story Leg Lamp. These are some of the items you're about to start seeing everywhere again. Yes I myself am a big fan of Christmas but the commercials and decorations have to wait until at least Halloween. Maybe even after Thanksgiving! A Puffs winter commercial has already been released along with a Glade Winter Collection commercial with different scents of winter candles bringing Santa and Snowmen to life. Walmart, Shaw's, and Target are just some of the stores that have begun to stock Hood and Garelick Eggnog. Over at Sears, A Christmas Story and Rudolph novelties began to stock the shelves in August and the store is spreading them even further throughout now. A mall in California put up a giant Christmas tree already and they're three hours further back from Christmas. I like it but it's just a bit too soon.

Spongebob!

Rumors have taken the Internet by storm that Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob, has died. Luckily, Tom Kenny is alive! Many tweets say R.I.P Tom Kenny and that Nickelodeon will immediately stop production of Spongebob Squarepants in two weeks. Luckily, Kenny is alive and the show will continue. Tom Kenny was born on July 13th, 1962. He plays Spongebob, Gary, and the show's French narrator, Patchy the Pirate, and some jellyfish. I am glad he is alive!

Just When You Think The Reign Of Creepy Commercials Is Over...

Swanson develops an ad of a woman getting something strange that says Chicken Broth. Simply, Chicken Broth. Luckily it's not called Crispy Hexagons. Then the turkey gets up and runs away. Naturally. Is there no end to the creepy commercials?

If I Have A Boy

I will plan to name him Andy. Mainly because a character on my favorite show is named Andy. The man who sings the greatest Christmas song ever is named Andy. And the boy in the Toy Story trilogy's name is none other than Andy. There is a road not too far from my house called Andy Drive. Coincidence? I think not!

Halloween

Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated on October 31st mainly in the United States, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. It includes many activities such as trick-or-treating, wearing costumes, attending costume parties, carving Jack-o-Lanterns, ghost tours, bonfires, bobbing for apples, visiting haunted houses, playing pranks, telling ghost stories, or watching horror films. It is also called All Hallow's Eve. Tomorrow is this haunted evening. Buahahaha! Nevermore!

Medley! Meet The Medleys!

900 Posts!

It seems like I had 800 only half a dozen weeks ago...oh wait! That's right my 900th post! 100 more until 1,000! I am 9/10 of the way to a great milestone. To celebrate my 900th post here is a monkey playing the drums.

The Lighter Side of Halloween

Boris Karloff. Bela Lugosi. Jason Vorhees. Classic Halloween names.
Every year people enjoy blood, guts, haunted houses, Frankenstein, Jason, Dracula, Michael Meyers, death, horror, zombies, mummies, and ghosts. That's all fine and good but I enjoy the happiness of Halloween like Boo Berry and Halloween Outlet and The Count and Bizarro. Or everything from Spongebob to Sing~A~Long~Songs. Or even Smurfs and Shrek. No matter how you like to celebrate Halloween whether it be by TV shows like Bookface. Or songs like the Monster Mash or videos like Ichabod Crane. You might lake mazes or jack-o-lanterns. Or going to a Not So Scary Halloween Party. You could enjoy the works of Rob Zombie or Hitchcock. Or just plain Freddy v. Jason. You might like trick or treating and dressing up and getting stuff like Sour Patch Kids and Crunch. You could like to have one eye or a horn. Or maybe purple's your favorite color. Maybe I don't know you like to eat people. You might just be the ghost in Three Men and a Baby. You could be petrified of Sleestak but have a pet lizard at home. You might even like classic characters in classic specials such as Scooby Doo and the Berenstain Bears. Whatever floats your boat come with me and I can show you my side of Halloween, the lighter side. But don't worry I'm only helping you.

A classic Halloween favorite: It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
Casper is a 1995 film starring Bill Pullman. It is based on Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoons.
In 2006 Chad Johnson posed for Sports Illustrated for a Halloween cover.
Over at the Haunted Mansion in Florida they have tombstones of some of the 999 happy haunts. This one is Dave. It reads: Dear Departed Brother Dave He Chased A Bear Into A Cave.
In October 2008, Kyle Busch raced in a M&M Halloween car due to his sponsor being M&Ms.

Some corny Halloween jokes:

When do monsters start the weekend? Fright-y nights

What is a werewolf's favorite holiday? HOWL-oween

What kind of clothes do ghosts wear? Scaredy Pants

Where do ghosts watch their favorite shows? On big scream TVs

How do you thank a vampire? Say "fangs a lot"

How do you know when a vampire is sick? You can hear is coffin.

Try this candy quiz developed by one of my teachers:

An old trio: The Three Musketeers!

A happy cowboy: Jolly Ranchers!

A quiet laugh: Snickers!

Two girl pronouns: Hershey's!

Twin letters: M&Ms!

A famous New York street: Fifth Avenue!

A worker's favorite day: Payday!

How much green do you want?: 100 Grand!

A famous baseball player: Baby Ruth!

Can't catch anything: Butterfingers!

Superman's other identity: Clark Bar!

A feline: Kit-Kat!

What sound do you make: Crunch!

A dry cow: Milk Duds!

In the galaxy: Milky Way!

Intelligence: Smarties!

Dorks: Nerds!

A sun explosion: Starburst!

I hope you look at Halloween in a different way now!

Armond White: The World's Worst Critic

Among White's least favorite films are Toy Story 3, Milk, and Iron Man. Among his favorites are I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and Date Movie. He gave Toy Story 3 it's first bad review. I completely disagree. Here you are:

"Toy Story 3 is so besotted with brand names and product-placement that it stops being about the innocent pleasures of imagination and strictly celebrates consumerism ... none of these digital-cartoon characters reflect human experience; it’s essentially a bored game that only the brainwashed will buy into."

Halloween Horror Nights

I am not a big fan of horror but my dad and sister are so I decided to do a post about the Universal Studios thing they went to last year called Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. It opened in 1991 and it goes every year from mid-September to the end of October. It is an annual event that takes place at Universal Orlando Resort and the Hollywood Universal Studios. The park is the same during the day but transforms to a horror night at night. It features haunted houses, Scare Zones, and live shows.

This Week's Sports By Davids

Some may think that on the Miami Heat cover where it says East Beats that it is a typo and supposed to say East Beasts but I made it say East Beats to do a kind of play on words thing because the East will beat the West in the Finals.

Scooby Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed

This is a sequel to the live action theaters movie based on the cartoon. Shaggy and Scooby mess things up so they try to get back in the group. During this movie the greatest line ever appears.

It'd be better to see the movie for the quote but here it is:

*Shaggy and Scooby fall in trap door*

Girl Scout who fell in: "Would you like to buy some cookies?"
FBI agent who fell in: "Did you hear the good news?"
Scooby Doo: "Yeah there's cookies!"

Every Halloween my cousin and I would watch the Disney Halloween Sing Along Songs. This was one of the videos. It was about Ichabod Crane listening to a story from Brom Bones about the Headless Horseman before he met his untimely demise.

Coming Full Circle

The Rangers beat the Yankees four games to two in the ALCS and in Game 6 they beat 'em 6-1. Now let's look back at my Baseball Preview Sports By David cover from April:
I predicted it was the Year of the Pitcher and it was. 6 no-hitters and a should've been one. Ubaldo Jimenez, Roy Halladay, Dallas Braden, Edwin Jackson, Matt Garza, and Roy Halladay again! Armando Gallarraga should've had one. I predicted the ALCS would be Yankees-Rangers. The NLCS would have the Phillies. Mark Reynolds and Justin Upton I predicted couldn't do anything for the Diamondbacks. I predicted the Rangers would win the World Series (hopefully they will). I predicted that CC and Lee would be at it all year. I predicted the Braves would win the Wild Card. I may have predicted the O's would be in contention but I got more right than not! Pretty awesome.

Mickey's House of Villains

Starring: Captain Hook, Hades, Ursula, Jafar, Cruella de Vil, and the Queen of Hearts. Oh yeah, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto too. One of my only three favorite direct-to-DVD Disney movies this centers around the Disney Villains trying to take over the House of Mouse on Halloween Night. It was released in 2002 and it was 70 minutes long. It starred Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor as Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The director was Jaimie Mitchell. Surprisingly, Disney got James Woods to play Hades who he played in Hercules. I definitley enjoy this movie.

Man v. Food is a show that premiered on Travel Channel in December 2008. The host is Adam Richman. The Monster At The End Of This Book

The book was published in 1971 and written by Jon Stone and Mike Smollin. Grover claims there is a monster at the end of the book and every time you turn a page he tries to stop you or screams. To find out the end read the book. It is not intended for Halloween but it is a good Halloween 'type' book.

All Sorts Of Sports

Dr. Seuss wrote a book that was never published about sports. I do not think this book would have been good because for a while he goes off about something called blunf. He goes blunf, blunf, blunf, blunf, blunf, blunf, blunf, blunf. Although I do like sports it didn't flow like his other books.

Trick or Treat: The Berenstain Bears

A classic Berenstain Bears book called Trick or Treat features the cubs making a map of their trick-or-treating route. They'll stop by their friends' houses such as Dr. Grizzly and their grandparents'. They deny to go Miz McGrizz's house however claiming she is a witch. Lizzie, Freddy, and Queenie join the cubs on their candy hunting extravaganza. Bear gang members convince the bears to go prank Miz McGrizz and her house. She catches them and brings them inside. Read the book to find out what happens next!

Three Wishes

In Language Arts today we read a story about a man who helps a king and gets three wishes. He wished for a wife but his wife was originally a swan and she wanted to go back so she wished she was a swan. He died without saying his third wish and the swan was side by side with him at his deathbed.

My three wishes would be:

1. Never ending money. I could donate $1 trillion dollars a week to charities without a worry!

2. I could pick the winner of any sports game. Maybe I might pick the Chargers to win the rest of their games except next week at New England.

3. I wish I could be done with school now but still have all my friends and know everything I needed to know.

Sounds good huh?

Reblog this onto yours saying what you would wish for.
