75 Best Songs: 36

This is the oldest song on the list, unless Africa was actually written during Ancient Greece. I love this song. My favorite piece of classical music.

Macaulay Culkin Has a Band

Yes. He does. It's called The Pizza Underground. I'm not really sure what to say, so I'll let Grantland try.

Article about Macaulay Culkin having a band.

I've Watched Many Movies Lately

January was a month of many films. Whether I set out to drop everything and watch a film or one was just on in the background, yet still enjoyed. I watched Drinking Buddies twice in January. One was a part of a day where each member of my family picked a movie to watch. The other two in that boat were Big Trouble in Little China and X-Men: First Class. Toy Story 2 and This Is the End were a double feature to ease Patriots depression. I watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off twice, but Lilo and Stitch just once. I thought I would share so I can never forget the barrage of film.

Andy Bernard's version was heart-wrenching, but I must list the proper Sarah McLachlan version.

Party Central

Pixar has a new short! Airing in front of Muppets Most Wanted will be a short set at Monsters University about the wild parties of Monsters University. Should be good! Not many details yet.

75 Best Songs: 38

My favorite Christmas song ever! Thank you Andy Williams!

Series Orders for Two Alums of The Office

Craig Robinson's NBC comedy about a high school music teacher and Rainn Wilson's CBS drama about a back-alley cop have both been given series orders! How cool is that? It's nice to see success for the wonderful people of The Office.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop Sequel?

I didn't know this could ever be a possibility, but I am definitely not upset by it. Apparently, a Paul Blart: Mall Cop sequel is very likely. They've even named a director! Andy Fickman will direct, Kevin James will star and James has already co-written the script. How neat! This is kind of out of the blue.

75 Best Songs: 39

I will always associate this great, uplifting hit from Fun with the Red Sox of 2013.

The Multifaceted BJ Novak

Remember the fifty second interview with BJ I posted a little bit back? Well, now there is an eighteen minute interview. Hells yeah! Let's enjoy BJ Novak and all his amenities.

Psych: The Musical

I had high expectations for Psych: The Musical and boy, did it not disappoint. There was the return of Yang, the return of Mary, a great mystery, great singing, and even singing from the famed Carlton Lasseter. It was done in a very Psych manner and could not have been done better. Such perfection.

75 Best Songs: 40

I do love Jeff and the Dean's version of this song, but I have to list Seal's version.

Drinking Buddies

Jake Johnson, Olivia Wilde, Anna Kendrick, and Jason Sudeikis are all awesome. Ron Livingston is alright. To see them all in a movie together is just perfect. I knew I had to watch it. I was not disappointed. It was funny, charming, and definitely different. It was 100% improvised and it was a quality film about blurred lines. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it.

Awesome Elle Magazine Covers

Here at the blog of Power, we love Zooey Deschanel, Mindy Kaling, Amy Poehler, and Allison Williams. To see all four of them on four different covers of Elle Magazine is just perfect. They are some of the funniest on television and very deserving of the honors!

30 Under 30

Usually, I don't care about any 30 Under 30-type lists, but I just had to share Forbes' list for the 30 Under 30 of 2014. Olivia Wilde made it! Olivia Wilde is the best! If you have any interest, feel free to check out the list on the Forbes website.

Josh Peck on The Mindy Project

Playing Tamra's boyfriend, Ray-Ron, I was delighted to see Josh Peck, the acting legend of my childhood on one of my favorite shows, The Mindy Project. I just must say it was a pleasure. It seems like he could very well make it in the acting world. Little Joshy!

Best of Fallon

On January 5, NBC aired a two-hour primetime special about the Best of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. It was the best thing ever. So funny, so charming, so much talent in two hours. I loved the montages, the music, the sketches. Everything about it was perfect and it just made me smile. The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is going to be awesome. This video clip is the only one posted from the show. Loved that special!

What a Dog Means

"You are simply not capable of my kind of loyalty." - Wilfred

Thank you George Takei for sharing this great piece on a dog. I love my dogs. I don't think I need to say much else.

The Qualities of a Gentleman

Naturally, BJ Novak was at the GQ Man of the Year party. During a quick, fifty second interview he spoke about the qualities of a gentleman. BJ knows.

75 Best Songs: 41

This one was also a tough decision. I chose Tom Petty's Here Comes My Girl over Bruce Springsteen's Rosalita. Different songs, I know, but they have a unique connection in my head.

First Promos for NBC's New Era

These promos are awesome. Late Night with Seth Meyers and the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon will both be amazing. So are these promos.

Community is Back!

Not only has Community returned to NBC, but it also has returned returned. You know what I'm saying? Since both Dan Harmon and Dino are back, the writing will definitely improve. Plus, John Oliver for the win! I am not looking forward to Donald Glover's departure, but it is inevitable. I have to talk about the awesome line from the premiere.

Troy about Zach Braff leaving Scrubs' ninth season after six episodes only. "After everything that show did for him?"

Plus, Zach Braff narrating the ending of the episode is everything I've ever wanted and I had no idea.

Yay for Community!

It's such a...good vibrations! Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, no doubt.

Gloria Fallon!

Jimmy Fallon's awesome sister, Gloria, has started following me on Twitter for whatever reason! I didn't even know she was on Twitter, but I of course followed back immediately. We even had a nice conversation via direct messages and she's favorited some tweets of mine. I just think it's so cool.

75 Best Songs: 43

I think this is the most recent song to make the list. It's deserving, though. Gotta love Justin Timberlake.

Dwayne Johnson Puns

Yes, we all know him by his nickname, The Rock. If you had a cardboard cutout of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, wouldn't you make a bunch of puns with it? These people did. All of the photos are on Buzzfeed, and my favorite is here for you.

Best Time Magazine Cover Ever

Seth Meyers graces the cover of the 2014 Preview issue of Time Magazine! How awesome is that? He's got his signature smirk on. I read the article in the actual paper magazine, thanks to my school's library. It was pretty good. I was even more delighted to find that Jimmy Fallon is also talked about in the article and there's a quick blurb about BJ Novak. Looks like Time and I are excited for the same things. Go Seth!

75 Best Songs: 44

You gotta have Jason Mraz involved! There will be much more Mraz to come, of course.

Nickname Jerseys

As a part of a new NBA promotion, players will wear jerseys bearing their nicknames on the back instead of their last names. As you can see here, Ray Allen will wear Jesus Shuttlesworth, LeBron James will wear King James, and Norris Cole will wear Cole Train, among others. I actually like it, it's pretty cool. Where is the jersey for the Big Ticket?

Fantasy Football 2013-2014

I finished 12-2 during the regular season of my fantasy football league. Unfortunately, in the championship, I lost 941-732. My team just couldn't come up big anymore. I finished in second and received a few other accolades, but it wasn't as much of a success this season as 2012-2013. Ah, well, I'm still good. I love this team!

Quarterbacks: Drew Brees, Andy Dalton, Matthew Stafford
Running Backs: Reggie Bush, Jamaal Charles, Le'Veon Bell, DeAngelo Williams, James Starks, Shane Vereen
Wide Receivers: Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston, Julian Edelman, Cecil Shorts, Dwayne Bowe, TY Hilton, Golden Tate, Randall Cobb
Tight Ends: Vernon Davis, Jordan Cameron
Defenses: Patriots Defense, Panthers Defense
Kickers: Caleb Sturgis

Glad to see Tebow back in the public eye! He has joined ESPN as an SEC Network broadcaster, commentator, and analyst. Luckily, there is a contract stipulation that he can sign with an NFL team at any time. I'm sure he will. He's a great player, no doubt about it. His knowledge of the game will prove to be an asset for ESPN. What can't he do?

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Dare I say The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) is the best movie I've ever seen? It's a bold statement, but one I think might be correct. As you know, I've looked forward to this film pretty heavily since August. It was one of the blog's top stories of 2013. Naturally, I need to devote a big post to it. It's hard for me to give a "review" of it. If I did, it would be A+, 100 points, 10/10 stars, Best Picture ever, why was it snubbed so hard? Instead, I will talk about the aspects of the film and then I will list my top ten favorite scenes. Without further ado, Walter Mitty. Spoilers ahead!

Acting: Being one of my favorite actors, it's hard to find fault with Ben Stiller. I must commend him and Kristen Wiig for successfully tackling the more dramatic aspect of 'Walter Mitty' despite their rich comedic backgrounds. Naturally, I loved Adam Scott and Patton Oswalt. Sean Penn and Shirley MacLaine further cemented themselves as Hollywood legends.

Cinematography: The visual aspect of 'Walter Mitty' was stunning. More than just capturing New York, it also captured Greenland, Afghanistan, and Iceland beautifully. I don't know how they did it, but that cinematographer should do every movie ever. Yet, it also managed to capture the whimsical spirit of James Thurber's original short story.

Directing/Producing/Writing: Each of these can be attributed to Ben Stiller. He is a movie guru. His career is changing from what it once was and there is nothing wrong with that at all.

Music: This soundtrack should win every award ever. So many songs were perfect for the film. Space Oddity, Step Out, Dirty Paws, etc. I could listen to it forever. So whimsical.

Favorite Scenes

10. Climbing Through the Himalayas: Walter joins a few mountain climbers from Afghanistan to climb through the Himalayas in order to find where Sean is. Entries in his travel journal appear etched across the screen. He offers Clementine Cake to warlords in the mountains and is able to pass through them. It culminates in a humorous scene where he learns he must now trudge through alone. This is where Todd, the eHarmony rep, calls Walter up again. 18,000 feet in the air.

9. Todd and Walter at the Airport: The first airport scene is also gold. When Walter runs past previous Life Magazine covers and then jumps on a plane where the Life motto is shown in various ways including a goosebump-filled takeoff. A new method of directing is produced when Walter's x-ray at Los Angeles International Airport is shown instead of the actual Walter. We see him promptly arrested and relying on Todd to bail him out of airport jail. The two discuss Walter's change over the course of the film over a Cinnabun.

8. Walter and Cheryl See the Final Issue of Life Magazine: Yes, this is the last scene of the movie, but it is also one of the most perfect. Ted (Adam Scott) realizes he had been a huge ass and decides to put Walter on the cover of the final Life with the title. "To Those Who Made It." So cool. Walter's reaction to the cover is perfect.

7. Riding the Bike Through Iceland: Walter quickly dashes to a nearby bicycle to the song, 'Dirty Paws' by Of Monsters and Men from the original 'Walter Mitty' trailer. Prompted by the ship captain shouting, "Stay gold, Ponyboy!" Walter pedals quickly through Iceland where he eventually finds himself talking to Todd, yet again, over the phone.

6. The Misadventures of Walter Trying to Go to Work: Charming music played in the background as Walter walked to the train station. There, he called Todd for the first time, but as he's talking, he promptly daydreams himself jumping off the railing, into an apartment window, running out with a dog, and then the building implodes. Cheryl calls out, "God you're noteworthy!" Snapping back to reality, his train has left the station.

5. Playing Soccer in the Himalayas: Walter and Sean join a soccer game just for the fun of it. Just to experience the human condition in other parts of the world. As the sun is setting on Afghanistan, Walter shows some secret skills on the plains as he runs around in celebration with his new friends and Sean O'Connell.

4. The Opening Scene: The first four of five minutes of 'Walter Mitty' were in complete silence. Not a single word was spoken, the only sound that could be heard was the rejection of Walter's attempted winks to Cheryl. eHarmony was not cooperating with Walter's tries. Not only was he torn about doing it, but the system wasn't working for him anyway. It's very humorous, especially Cheryl's likes and dislikes on her profile. Perfectly crafted scene.

3. Walter Mitty Skateboarding to Eyjafjallajökull: With directions and a recently traded for skateboard in tow, Walter showed off his old skateboarding talents as he maneuvered down a twisty road to a nearly exploding volcano that Sean was sure to be photographing at. The music is perfect and it is a life affirming moment as Walter touches the road as he passes by and then lifts his arms out in the air to catch the wind. Beautiful piece of cinematic magic.

2. Walter and Sean's Conversation: When Walter finally meets Sean, he is invited to sit next to him as Sean searches for the elusive "ghost cat" to photograph. It's actually a mountain lion, but still. There, Walter learns where photo negative 25 was and that it's no longer with him. Sean makes a few humorous remarks and then makes two great points on life. "Beautiful things don't call for attention," is one and then Sean chooses to not photograph the lion and instead stay in the moment. We never learn what #25 is, all we know is what Sean says to Walter when he asks. "Let's just call it a ghost cat, Walter Mitty." Awesome line.

1. Walter Jumps to the Helicopter: My absolute favorite scene in the movie. After Walter finishes an incredibly humorous scene with the drunken karaoke-singing helicopter pilot, he decides to not go with him on the helicopter. That's when he imagines Cheryl singing David Bowie's Space Oddity, a common theme throughout the film. Her singing makes him run out and jump into the helicopter as it's taking off. David Bowie and Kristen Wiig then both start singing as Cheryl stays on the ground and the helicopter takes off and flies over the ocean. Amazing moment.

Dare I say The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is my all-time favorite movie? Yes. Yes. It. Is.

"To see the world. Things dangerous to come to. To see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life."

Patriots to the Pro Bowl

Four members of the New England Patriots have been selected to the 2014 Pro Bowl. Tom Brady, Aqib Talib, Logan Mankins, and Matthew Slater. I have very little interest in the Pro Bowl at all whatsoever, but I figure it's worth mentioning those representing the home team.

Chris Fowler Almost Died at the Pinstripe Bowl

Chris Fowler was apparently eating a chicken sandwich at the Pinstripe Bowl and then he started choking on it at halftime. Luckily, Jesse Palmer was there to save Chris Fowler's life. You don't see a story like that every day.

Blended Trailer

I am still not entirely sure what this movie is about, despite having seen the trailer. Yes, there seems to be a bit of grotesque humor, but maybe that's just for the trailer and it gets a bit smarter in the actual movie. I love the chemistry between Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. They make great rom-coms, so I'll probably see it anyway. But they're in Africa and not Hawaii now!

Adam Sandler on Brooklyn Nine-Nine

For the post-Super Bowl episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Adam Sandler apparently will appear...as himself! This is going to be awesome. Not only is Brooklyn Nine-Nine a great show, but how often do you get to see Adam Sandler play himself? With the Patriots not in the Super Bowl, I might be looking forward to the post-Super Bowl episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl more than the actual game.

Saving Mr. Banks

I saw Saving Mr. Banks on the first day of Christmas vacation with three good friends. There were so many reasons I wanted to see it. To learn the background behind the best live-action Disney movie ever made. To see a surefire Best Picture nominee (grr). To see Tom Hanks as Walt Disney. To see a movie partially filmed in Disneyland. To see BJ NOVAK AND JASON SCHWARTZMAN PORTRAY THE SHERMAN BROTHERS. Yeah there were a lot reasons. All of these culminated to meet my expectations. Everything I didn't know was coming? Easily exceeded them. Spoilers ahead!

While being "defined" as a "feel-good movie," Saving Mr. Banks wasn't just that. There were actually some pretty dark scenes, while there were uplifting scenes as well. Paul Giamatti and Colin Farrell were in the perfect roles and they played them perfectly. Tom Hanks tackled the incredibly tough task of playing Walt Disney and Emma Thompson was nothing less than perfection as PL Travers. The acting, costume design, and all scenes were all perfect. So was the awesome soundtrack that combined classic Mary Poppins songs with new Mr. Banks songs.

I loved every part of this movie, as I expected to, but I especially loved BJ and Jason. I love the Sherman Brothers and I love those two actors. It was everything I could have wanted. Another admirable portion of the film was how the producers tried to keep the ending as real as they could while keeping with the movie's tone. Yes, Travers, in real life, hated everything about Mary Poppins, the film, and refused to let anything ever be made from it again. The Sherman Brothers said they hated her until the day she died. Both of these were not addressed, but in the ending of the film, it was definitely visible that Travers didn't quite care for how the movie turned out. Thank you for the touch of realism.

My two favorite scenes were incredibly dramatic, moving scenes. One, between Richard Sherman and Walt Disney when they thought all was lost. Sherman played Feed the Birds and Disney talked about what, not only Poppins, but what Disney, as a company, mean to him. Bob Sherman was laying on the couch, asleep.

The other was when Walt flew to London for a Hail Mary attempt at convincing Travers to make the Mary Poppins movie. He tells her about his childhood and what he knows about her's. It's really amazing.

Fantastic film. Everything I wanted and more.

75 Best Songs: 45

Ah, you Canadian singer, you. Bryan Adams did not have the 69th best song with, Summer of 69, he has the 45th best song.

@EpcotCentre

Whoever runs this account has the driest sense of humor ever. Honestly, it is really dry, but it is also so hilarious. I first saw a tweet from the presumably-fake EPCOT Twitter account when I was going to EPCOT. Weird, huh? Patton Oswalt retweeted it. All of the tweets are quality, but I love when they do #EPCOTMailbag every Friday. The responses are so humorous. I have my favorite below.

The 2013 World Series Starring Shane Victorino

Ah, the best thing Smash Mouth has ever done and will ever do. It doesn't get much better than All-Star!

The Beard Tree

For Christmas, the Red Sox created a Christmas tree of the Boston bears, complete with Santa Claus at the top. Each beard was renamed with a holiday twist. My favorites are: "The Mele Kalikimaka" (Shane Victorino), "The Craig Nog" (Craig Breslow), "The Laser Snow" (Dustin Pedroia), and "The Jingle Bell Ross" (David Ross). Awesome.

75 Best Songs: 47

I had to make a Billy Joel executive decision. Only the Good Die Young or My Life. I eventually came to this. I chose it.

Dialect Quiz

The New York Times really nailed this quiz. (You can take it by clicking on any of the words inside the parenthesis.) It asked 25 questions about how I refer to different things like "y'all" and "highway." It got my location right on the nose. Two of the three locations it listed as possibilities were in Massachusetts. One was the closest it could have been to my actual hometown. The other was in Florida, but what can you do? So cool.

Disney Christmas Day Parade

The Walt Disney World and Disneyland Christmas Day Parade 2014 was pure and perfect and purely perfect. I saw Neil Patrick Harris in the Magic Kingdom and he filmed his hosting of the Orlando portion of the parade the day we flew home. The parade was good. It stays the same from year to year basically, but that's what I like about it. I do prefer OneRepublic to The Wanted, though, and it's always good to see Nick Cannon keeping busy.

75 Best Songs: 48

You have to include Queen on the list of the best songs. Under Pressure absolutely came before Ice Ice Baby.

Baby Movies!

Lilly and Leon Mackie are some pretty cool parents. They thought the best thing to do with their newborn was to recreate famous movie scenes with him. I can say I enjoyed this thoroughly. Each one is perfection and can be seen on Buzzfeed. My favorite is right below this sentence!

Shoutout to The Roots

Thankfully, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has compiled every shoutout to The Roots from Jimmy and his celebrity guests from March of 2009 to May of 2012. It's fun to see the appreciation. The Roots are the best.

75 Best Songs: 49

This is the only song from Florence and the Machine on the list. It's a great pump-up song. I'd like to have it set to a montage of Tim Tebow's best moments. Quality.

Now We are Five

David Sedaris wrote a fantastic piece for The New Yorker back in October that I only just stumbled upon thanks to a friend and an English teacher. It is a fantastic work that begins and ends perfectly with the signature Sedaris touch, despite being a far from lighthearted topic. I suggest the read.

Buzz Today

Devin Ratray is the name of the kid who played Buzz McAllister in the first two (and only good) Home Alone movies. He was a grotesque, albeit not-a-stretch, looking teenager, but he's a schlubby adult, who seems like he'd have a high-pitched voice now. This is fun to look at.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Season 3 Trailer

The awesome web series starring Jerry Seinfeld is back for a third season. Seinfeld truly has achieved the title of a "show about nothing." This year, Tina Fey is among the many guests. Should be great!

Peanuts Flash Mob

The cast of the Peanuts surprised many New Yorkers with a flash mob that mirrored the famed dancing sequence in A Charlie Brown Christmas. How awesome is this?

Diagon Alley

Universal has been promoting Diagon Alley pretty heavily. Posted above is the second trailer for the Harry Potter expansion park. There are five in total, so far. There was a huge panel and announcement period at Universal featuring the actors behind Fred Weasley and Luna Lovegood. It should be cool, especially when they announced the specific rides, shops, and areas to come to Universal Studios Orlando.

  • Thrilling Gringotts bank ride
  • The Hogwarts Express
  • Gringotts Bank
  • The Leaky Cauldron
  • Knockturn Alley
  • Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour
  • Borgin and Burke's
  • Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions
  • Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment
  • Quality Quidditch Supplies
  • Scribbilus

Oh, Kevin Youkilis

Looks like things went awry for Kevin Youkilis. Back in 2008 he finished third place in the voting for AL MVP. Now, on December 20, 2013, he has decided to play baseball with the Rakuten Golden Eagles in Japan. Maybe he can grow a goatee again? Who knows? Farewell, Youuuuuuuuk!

75 Best Songs: 50

A lot of people hate on this hit from Poison, but I like it!

The 24 Most Magical Musical Moments

Buzzfeed has compiled a list of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon's 24 best musical moments from 2014. I agree with the majority of the list. Everything that should have been included was included. I would not have put the Evolution of Mom Dancing so high and the Summer Camp singing so low, but still awesome! The full list is, of course, on Buzzfeed.

The Best Sketches of Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake's Saturday Night Live

Whoo! That title is a mouthful. But, finally, the sketches from Jimmy and Justin's 'SNL' have been posted online and I just have to share my top five from the awesome episode.

5. Christmas Carols

You just have to love Jimmy Fallon as Michael Buble.

4. Bring It on Down to Wrappingville

The return of the "Bring It on Down" sketch. I love the shoes.

3. Let's Do It in My Twin Bed

There is nothing more perfect than the ladies of SNL and Jimmy Fallon dancing in front of old photos of themselves.

2. Baby It's Cold Outside

I love this sketch. It's equally funny and heart-warming. Plus, I love both Jimmy and Cecily. "Can you take the trash while you go?"

1. Celebrity Feud

So many things are perfect with this sketch. The spot on impressions of Steve Harvey and Ashton Kutcher. The mocking of Sheldon Cooper. Brooks Wheelan. Justin Timberlake as Jimmy Fallon making Jimmy laugh. Just so great.

I'm sure everyone knows how tough it is to get comfortable with that. Nonetheless, after a 25 day hiatus, I have returned. And there sure is a lot to talk about.

75 Best Songs: 52

This is the first of two Maroon 5 songs to make the list. Not a bad song at all. Quite catchy.

I Agree, Franco

James Franco recently told The Hollywood Reporter This Is the End was the best comedy film of 2013. I wholeheartedly agree. My second favorite film, favorite comedy film. Here is James Franco's rationale behind his bold statement.

"One of the things Seth and Evan are so good at is bringing different genres and tones together into one movie and making it work. To have us play ourselves was just one more element that pulled this movie beyond what was expected. Within the world of reality entertainment, you don't expect the cast of Jersey Shore to have to deal with the end of the world. That's what this movie is like, with all these familiar people in these extreme circumstances. It's so much more impactful that Michael Cera dies in the beginning and not some partier played by Michael Cera. Some pretty lady doesn't die. Rihanna dies. It let us riff on our actual selves, the public's perceptions of us and our fictional versions of ourselves. There's a lot more energy in that."

Please, read the full article at The Hollywood Reporter, if you wish. Franco's a smart man. Smarter than I used to think.

Ballers

LeBron James has finally decided on the movie he wants to star in. It will be called Ballers, a film about two basketball-playing brothers from Miami. His costar? Kevin Hart, of course. It will film during the 2014 NBA offseason, naturally. It is peculiar, but not as peculiar as Michael Jordan's role in Space Jam.

75 Best Songs: 53

My third favorite song from The Beatles is Let it Be. Very good, very Beatles.

Our Idiot Brother

"I live my life a certain why. I like to think if you put your trust out there and you give people the benefit of the doubt. See their best intentions. They'll want to live up to it. It doesn't always work out, clearly, but I think if you do, people will rise to the occasion." - Ned (Paul Rudd).

What a great watch. It's always been in the back of my mind to watch Our Idiot Brother on Netflix and I finally did and I have twice now. It's a star-studded cast despite its Indie-ish tone. Paul Rudd, Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott. I love them all. But anyway, it was a great, funny, optimistic film. Such quality. Highly recommend it.

Celebrities Read Mean Tweets

This is the only part of Jimmy Kimmel Live I can actually tolerate. Gotta love John Krasinski. This is actually pretty humorous.

VMK is Back

I will say nothing more out of fear Disney is watching me. It best not be shut down. Just know I am very ecstatic about this long-awaited, impressive, and unexpected return.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as Guest Editors

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took over the December 20, 2013 issue of Entertainment Weekly as guest editors and it was a hilarious issue. Their interview was awesome and all the little things spread throughout the issue were definitely their humor and their touches. Plus, Jon Hamm interviewed Ellie Kemper. Quality issue.

Interstellar Teaser Trailer

A teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's new film, Interstellar, with a star-studded cast like Matthew McConaughey, Matt Damon, and CASEY AFFLECK, has emerged. I still have no clue what it's about.

Naked Gun Reboot?

This is something I feel doesn't need to happen, really. Fortunately, a good casting choice has been made because Ed Helms is the best. Paramount is in the mood to make a reboot to the classic comedy, The Naked Gun. They've tapped the writers from Night at the Museum to script it and Ed Helms to star as Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin. This could either be completely terrible or surprisingly not-bad. I hope it's the latter, because I have a feeling it might be the former.

Amy Poehler and Billy Eichner

Throughout the streets of New York, Billy Eichner and Amy Poehler ran, ambushing poor civilians and forcing them to sing Christmas carols together. I would have done it an instant which is why I do not understand people not doing it. Once in a lifetime. This video is so much hilarity in one. Watch it a million times. "He's a Hasidic Jew!"

Patton Oswalt's Christmas Shoes

I told you I was backed up on posts. I bookmark posts and the Christmas ones were down the line a bit. So now, we get to celebrate Christmas with Christmas posts in January. Yay! It's a bit backlogged. No matter! It's all good. Here, listen to this hilarious stand-up from Patton Oswalt about one of the only bad Christmas songs, The Christmas Shoes. Be warned, there is vulgarity.

Jacoby Ellsbury's Letter

Jacoby Ellsbury took out a full page ad in the Boston Globe to thank the Red Sox and the fans for the seven years he spent. He did win two World Series titles in Boston, after all. It's a nice, classy thing to do, and a good parting gift. Fare thee well, Ellsbury.
