How bad is this call by Jim Joyce? Armando Garralagga however you spell it was robbed of the third perfect game in a month, second in a week, fourth in a year! We almost had a perfect Armando, Dallas, and Roy with a no-hitter by Ubaldo. Bad call and they don't reverse it. Bad bad umpire. Armando shook it off and the ump apologized but still c'mon.
The pitcher understood we all make mistakes and is handling it all superbly, so something good has come out of it all. Maybe a lesson in sportsmanship for lots of younger players. And maybe some of his contemporaries, too.
