Dikembe Mutumbo...Or So You Thought

Dikembe Mutumbo. A pretty good basketball player. But there is more to his name than meets the eye. His full name is:

Dikembe Mutumbo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo.

I thought we could all use a bit of humor now.

The Candy Tournament

After days of speculation and consideration about what my next tourney should be and reviewing thousands of suggestions I've decided on the Halloween Candy Tournament. You know what to do! Vote and you have until Sunday until you vote for the next round! Here are the matchups:

Hershey's vs. Swedish Fish
Heath vs. Payday
Air Head vs. Tootsie Roll
Milk Dud vs. Milky Way

M&Ms vs. Twizzlers
Baby Ruth vs. Crunch
Carmello vs. 3 Musketeers
Nerds vs. Kit Kat

Snickers vs. Whatchamacallits
Almond Joy vs. Mr. Goodbar
Junior Mints vs. Starburst
Sour Patch Kids vs. Butterfinger

Reese's vs. Whoppers
100 Grand vs. Jolly Rancher
Mike and Ike vs. Skittles
Smarties vs. Twix

Woohoo! They'll Be Sticking Around!

The Simpsons were in jeopardy. The writers knew that. The actors knew that. FOX knew that. The actors (Castellana, Cartwright, Kavner, Smith, Azaria, Shearer) would be willing to take a 30% pay cut. FOX wanted them to take a 45% pay cut. Harry Shearer convinced them to take a 70% pay cut. The cooperation saved a well-loved show. It will continue for a 24th and 25th season. Yay! The executive producer of the show said that they don't see it as an end, but as a beginning. How can you? The show was on the verge of ending. You can't expect it to go any longer than 25 seasons. Please provide us with a good ending Matt Groening. Don't have me groaning.

A New Disney Park?

Yes we already know about Buena Vista Street, Radiator Springs (Cars Land), and Paradise Pier expansion in Disneyland. We know about Shanghai Disneyland. We know about Fantasyland expansion, the Avatar world in Animal Kingdom, a new hotel based on animation and the realignment of Main Street in Disney World. Plus, a new hotel in Hawaii. However, I'm talking about a whole new park. In Disney World! To go along with the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, Disney could be in the works of making a new park based on the Disney Villains. No official statements have been made. There is also no concept art, but some ideas have been thrown around such as a big focus on Ursula, the centerpiece being Snow White's poison apple, and smoke coming out of the bathrooms when you flush. Certainly interesting. What is your take?

Halloween Month Day 12: Villain You'd Most Like To See In A Disney Park

Kaa from the Jungle Book! Wouldn't it be kind of cool to see a snake slithering around the park? As long as it doesn't try to kill you.

Tim Tebow's Got The Job!

After Tebow subbed in for Kyle Orton on Sunday, fans thought it was a sign of things to come. Tebow led the Broncos to a rally coming within three points of winning the game. It's about time. It's so obvious to me that Tebow is better than Orton and I'm glad it's obvious to John Fox now! Congrats Tebow and may you be better than Colt McCoy, Jimmy Clausen, and Sam Bradford!

There Goes Two Weeks of the NBA Season

Mavericks - Bulls? Nope. Heat - Magic? Nope. Celtics - Clippers? Nope. Any of the 100 games in the first two weeks of the 2011-2012 NBA Season? Nope. Due to the lockout and the players and owners being very apart from a deal, the NBA has cancelled the first two weeks of the NBA regular season. The entire season is in jeopardy. They couldn't agree on any revenue split ranging from 57-43 to 50-50. I would take the 50-50 because you could still get money rather than nothing because of the lockout. Derek Fisher and David Stern are just too selfish.
