Billy Joel Saves a Life!
While riding his motorcycle in New York City, Billy Joel, a great singer and musician, noticed a woman laying face down in the street. He aided the woman by gathering her fallen shopping bags and staying by her side until the paramedics arrived. With the, he helped them bring her to a nearby bench. An act of kindness in humanity, like when Ryan Gosling saved someone from getting hit by a taxi. Always good to read about.

100 Best People 2014: 37-35
37. Amy Adams
She's my favorite dramatic actress, but let's not forget that Amy Adams does comedy, too. She starred in The Muppets and essentially got her start in the season one episode of The Office, "Hot Girl." Now, Amy is in such movies as American Hustle and Her. But what puts her so high on the list is something recent. She gave up her first class seat on a flight for a soldier in coach. Very good person, Amy is!
36. George Bailey
You must understand while Indiana Jones ranked higher than George on the list of the best movie characters, as people George Bailey has to be first. The main character played by Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life goes through a journey in life around Christmastime to discover what the world would be like without him. It's worth mentioning I ranked him second on the list of film characters, but you'll see others ranked higher. That's the way it goes.
35. Ross Geller
The most under-appreciated character on Friends, Ross is my new favorite! I don't know what happened, one day I just liked Ross better than Chandler. It's gotta be in part to David Schwimmer giving everything he had to the role. He brought Ross to life, without a doubt. There's so many great scenes and one-liners with Ross, you just can't help but love him!

271 New Members in the Academy
The Academy that decides the Oscars, Emmys, and such has invited 271 new members to join the crew. Among the notable ones are Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Chris Rock, Rob Riggle, and Clark Gregg. It seems like a lot of people to add, but I wonder how many are already in the Academy. Nevertheless, you can view all the new members here.
World War III?
We might just have a third World War on our hands. The first one was started by an assassination. The second by an invasion. The third? Seth Rogen and James Franco. The two bromance-filled actors have made the highly-anticipated (at least, for me) new film, The Interview, which has a stellar poster and trailer. The plot is they are journalists hired by the government to assassinate Kim Jong-un, North Korean dictator. Kim has said that this film is "an act of war" and if it is released, he said North Korea will not hold back against America. They have threatened nuclear warfare and merciless retaliation if The Interview is released. Oh, boy! This is fun.

100 Best People 2014: 40-38
40. Ryan Gosling
He's not my favorite actor, but there's something else that puts him in the top forty. The fact that he has constantly been snubbed, time and again, by People Magazine for not naming him Sexiest Man Alive. One day, Gosling will get there. And we will have this post. And I will laugh in the face of society.
39. Elijah Wood
First, he started out as a huge, mainstream movie star. Now, Elijah has switched to doing more Indie-type stuff. If he feels like the project is right, he'll do it. Which makes me love his dedication to Wilfred. He plays Ryan Newman on the amazing, mind-bending show. I wouldn't choose another actor to be there.
38. Roger Federer
The nicest guy in all of sports. Federer is not only the best tennis player to ever live, but he's done it with grace, humility, and tons of skill. Recently, he lost to Djokovic in the Wimbledon final, unfortunately, but he's still setting records in his "old" age. He's the ageless wonder. He is. Federer, the President of the sports world.

Wilfred Interview
I know I already posted about David Zuckerman's farewell guest article for The Hollywood Reporter, but I have to share this, too. The magazine interviewed Jason Gann (Wilfred), Elijah Wood (Ryan), and Fiona Gubelmann (Jenna). They talked about the final season and what to expect is coming. Gann's insights are obviously the most interesting. Check it out!
