The Entertainer of the Year (2011) is a man who definitely deserves it. Last year Katy Perry won it when she had two number one songs and made many appearances and won multiple Grammys. This year this is not the case. It is not someone in the music industry. It is someone who is in the film and television industry. A man who worked alongside two prestigious actors and still made the movie work. A man who worked in a wonderful ensemble and brought the TV show back on the map and back onto people's televisions. A man who revitalized a once-loved variety program that has lost its way. Maybe now that he hosted it, they will realize what they were once about. The man who has brought the love back to a man named Jim and his crew. He worked alongside Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake to form one of the summer's best comedies, Bad Teacher. He worked to mature the characters and keep interest in How I Met Your Mother, alongside Neil Patrick Harris. He showed Saturday Night Live what they're supposed to be about. His most important journey this year, was bringing the Muppets back and he did that. Big time. Congratulations to the Entertainer of the Year, Jason Segel!
