A Wild Gatriot Weekend

The Gators this season have not done as well as I hoped they would. Florida-Georgia was the matchup I predicted for the 2014 BCS Championship Game. That will not be taking place. With Georgia at 5-3, they're barely alive for the SEC East Crown. Florida, at 4-4, is on a three-game losing streak and will be lucky to get to the Outback Bowl. I'll still hold out hope that they will finish above .500, but the offense has just been awful. Love the defense, though! Their comeback attempt fell short and the Bulldogs won, 23-20.

Patriots played much better! They trounced the Steelers 55-31, with the Red Sox on hand. Danny Amendola, Rob Gronkowski (return of the Gronk spike!) and Aaron Dobson each set individual records on the season. As did Tom Brady, who threw for four touchdowns and 432 yards. First quarter: Amendola catches a 34-yarder. Second quarter: Gronk grabs a 19-yarder, Ridley runs one yard for the touchdown, and Gostkowski kicked a field goal. Third: A simple Gostkowski field goal. Fourth: Two five-yard runs from Ridley and LeGarrette Blount. Two touchdowns to Aaron Dobson, one for seventeen yards, one for eighty-one yards. Great game as the Patriots scored the most points of any team in the NFL this season, so far.
