New Additions to the Library of Congress

Some of the notable additions of the twenty-five new recordings in the Library of Congress deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" will now be forever preserved in the nation's capital (Washington D.C.). Some of my personal notables, aka songs I enjoyed from the new collection, are, as follows:

U2's The Joshua Tree
The Everly Brothers' Cathy's Clown
Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah
Creedence Clearwater Revival's Fortunate Son

Those four of the twenty-five comprise better music than what you would hear on an hour of "Modern Rap" Pandora. Good choices, L.O.C.!

  1. Great choices. I love Hallelujah the best of those and always like hearing how other artists attempt to cover it. Some are great, some... not so much.
