Oregon! Matt Groening has finally ended the long debate of what state Springfield is actually in. He said "Springfield was named after Springfield, Oregon." I don't know if I'm satisfied. It was such a well kept secret that it doesn't feel right. Hmmm....
Well, all he really said was it was named after Springfield, Oregon... He didn't say it was in Oregon. Did he?
