Testaments To Their Character

Dustin Pedroia and Vicente Padilla. Two members of the Red Sox. One an All-Star, MVP, awesome second baseman and the other a member of the bullpen. Two of them involved in the Red Sox - Yankees rivalry this weekend. Here's the case:

Padilla said that New York first baseman, Mark Teixiera, would be better of playing a women's sport. Teixiera said that's crazy and that women's boxing is pretty tough. Padilla responded with saying that he meant no harm and he said that Mark cries more than women do. Can it light a fire under the Red Sox? I hope so.

Also last night, Nick Swisher ran into foul territory to try to catch a pop fly. He had to lean into the Sox dugout to catch it and right under him was Dustin Pedroia. Pedroia was preparing himself for Swisher to flip over the dugout and he was going to help and catch him. That's awesome. What a man Pedroia is.

Two different angles of the rivalry. I like it.

  1. No clue about Teixiera, but Pedroia has always seemed like a stand-up guy to me!
