That's write! (Get it?) I'm at it again! I will once again be writing 50,000 words for a November novel. It's called Tomorrow's Village. Here's a synopsis and excerpt:
Two thousand years into the future, no town names are creative. This one in particular is named Village. It has all the workings of a regular, twenty-first century town, but without old inventions. For example, chains haven't been used in 1,999 years. After a comedy club sends the citizens home happy, things take a turn for the worse. Embark on this journey with Ray, Stanton, Bumpass, Holly, Mike, Brad, and most of all, John Shepherd, the leader of the town, as you find yourself in hair salons, comedy clubs, and outer space.
"Some towns had nightclubs or bars, but Village had the comedy club. This also meant that they had all the comedians. Village preferred to get an ab workout rather than get drunk. The citizens loved to laugh. Mike loved to make them laugh. He hated when things were dire. It was a perfect fit."
I think it'll be great!
Sounds quite interesting! Good luck!
