We all know the back story. A fight breaks out between the Red Sox and Yankees. Don Zimmer decides to go after Pedro Martinez. Pedro throws him to the ground. Let's break this down. Zimmer went after Pedo. So automatically right there, he has it coming. He initiated it. Case closed. To add onto the Zimmer trash heap, Pedro went easy on him. He could have punched him in the face or kicked him in the Donnies, but he instead grabbed him by the head and threw him down. That was the best thing Martinez could do in the situation. Zimmer admitted he was wrong, but he should be thanking Pedro for not killing him.
Yeah, kind of stupid. If you are going to act like that, no matter your age or whatever, you can't then whine about the consequences. Martinez shouldn't be penalized for reacting honestly.
