100 Favorite Movies: 32

And once again in this list we return to a more Christmas-y side of things. Christmas Vacation, of the National Lampoon variety, is (and sorry for any controversy) the best installment of the entire Vacation film franchise. Chevy Chase is at his best, the children are well-cast, and the rest of the family is just the icing on the fruitcake. Christmas Vacation is a tradition for me and my family on the day we decorate for the holidays. It's always nice to see how much better our endeavor went compared to the Griswolds. Hip hip hooray for Christmas Vacation!

Holiday comedy directed by Jeremiah Chechik and written by John Hughes in 1989.

Starring: Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Randy Quaid, Juliette Lewis, Johnny Galecki, John Randolph, Diane Ladd, E.G. Marshall, Doris Roberts, Miriam Flynn, Cody Burger, Ellen Hamilton Latzen, William Hickey, Mae Questel, Sam McMurray, Nicholas Guest, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Brian Doyle-Murray.

Tune in Monday for number thirty-one!
