100 Favorite Movies: 36

Ah, yes. Tom Hanks in his younger and more vulnerable years. Big is one of those movies that you saw once all the way through and it was awesome, but now you can only see it on HBO 2 or Cinemax about three-fifths through. Nevertheless, the movie is a classic and so very entertaining. It seems to have a tired concept, but what is oft forgot is that Big somewhat popularized such a plot. Sure, there are some borderline (modern-day) creepy aspects of the film, but all of those are wiped away with the innocent scene with Josh and MacMillan dancing on the big piano. It's probably my all-time favorite scene in any movie ever. So good.

Fantasy comedy directed by Penny Marshall and written by Gary Ross and Anne Spielberg in 1988.

Starring: Tom Hanks, Elizabeth Perkins, Robert Loggia, John Heard, Jared Rushton, David Moscow, and Jon Lovitz.

Tune in Tuesday for number thirty-five!
