Dustin Pedroia Has Jacoby Ellsbury to Thank

I'll talk more about Ellsbury later, but for now, let's revel in the great 2013 season.

"Is there any way you can play through it? We need you."

That is the text Ellsbury sent to Pedroia when Pedroia injured his thumb on Opening Day. Apparently, it inspired him to play through the injury. Eventually, they won the World Series. I love this. The more stories like this the better.
