Sigh...Jacoby Ellsbury

Well, you've got your Roger Clemens. There's obviously Johnny Damon. Now, the new traitor to leave Boston for New York is Jacoby Ellsbury. Ellsbury was a free agent so he decided to sign a seven-year contract for $153 million dollars. Granted, you cannot turn down that money, but I'd be satisfied with say, $1.5 million dollars. That's all the money I'd need for my entire life. But athletes do have avarice from time to time. You can't fault Ellsbury for taking $153 million if someone offered it to him. You can fault him for choosing the Yankees of all teams. I am happy the Red Sox didn't pay that much for him because he is definitely not worth that much money. As soon as Scott Boras became his agent, he was gone. That much is true. Fare thee well, Ellsbury.

  1. Hopefully he does well. He was a good, but time to move on for all concerned.
