Neighbors

Yes, I saw Seth Rogen's first film installment since This Is the End. It wasn't as good, of course, but it was still enjoyable and humorous. I'm glad some cliches were avoided, like the married couple at odds with one another the wrong-doers interpreted as the good guys by law enforcement. The fight sequence between Seth and Zac Efron was the highlight of the film, but they were both surrounded by quality actors. Ike Barinholtz was in more of the film than I expected and that was welcomed. Dave Franco consistently plays a weirdly-convincing foil for most characters. Rose Byrne was excellent and she clearly is great with comedy. Plus, the rapid-fire cameos were enjoyable. Zac Efron recounting the great frats of past brought in short scenes with Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone (otherwise known as The Lonely Island), Jake Johnson, and the Workaholics crew (Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, and Anders Holm), respectively. As for Rogen, I'm most looking forward to his upcoming film with James Franco, The Interview, but Neighbors was still good, nonetheless.
