Sons of Liberty Miniseries

History Channel has a new miniseries coming called Sons of Liberty. It will obviously deal with the American Revolution and obvious details have been released so far. For example, the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre, the Shot Heard 'Round the World. All the things we know and love from the colonial 1770s will be featured in the show. But more importantly, the full cast has been released and you'll have to tell me what you think about how the group stacks up. Ben Barnes from The Chronicles of Narnia movies will be portraying Samuel Adams, a well-known figure in American history. The Blacklist's Ryan Eggold will take on the role of Doctor Joseph Warren. Michael James of True Blood fame landed the coveted spot of midnight rider, Paul Revere. From Prometheus, Rafe Spall gets to portray the man with the signature, John Hancock. Henry Thomas, Elliot from E.T., is John Adams, Sam's cousin. The Lord of the Rings trilogy's Marton Csokas and 24's Emily Berrington will play married couple Thomas and Margaret Gage, respectively. Lastly, and most notably, Dean Norris (Hank Schrader on Breaking Bad) will be Benjamin Franklin, the leader of them all. I'm actually intrigued. What do you think?

  1. Sounds interesting. With that cast, if it is written and directed well, it should be good.
