Okay, let's just get this out of the way. Wes Anderson's newest film has an amazing cast. Ralph Fiennes, Tony Revolori, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Edward Norton, F. Murray Abraham, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson, and Owen Wilson. It is like the crown jewel of Wes Anderson films. I think The Grand Budapest Hotel is my favorite film of 2014 thus far. The narrative was incredibly interesting and the plot was superb. Couple that with the Andersonian way of film-making and the entire movie was an ornate, aesthetically-pleasing, fascinating delve into a period in time that stands alone, just like the hotel. I loved it!
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I ended up loving it, too!
