Richard Linklater's new film, Boyhood, which stars Ellar Coltrane, Ethan Hawke, and Patricia Arquette, has brought a concept to life that I have always thought some director should do. Whenever there's a scene with a young actor playing a kid, I always thought they should film that scene and then do the adult ones with the same actor. Well, now Linklater has done it. Over twelve years, his group of actors filmed the necessary scenes each summer to create this movie which some have called a masterpiece. Very interesting!
Quite an interesting premise and such patience with all concerned to stick with it and get it accomplished!
