Livin' the Dream Review

*SPOILERS*

  • "Which tie makes me look more like a guy who likes sofas?" "The blue one." "Totally, right?" Hahaha, it's the simple things.
  • "Thin-sliced tuna. Carpaccio. Go on."
  • Has Kevin ever met a judgmental shrew? Hmm...
  • Liked Jim's "Beesly!" exclamation.
  • Well, Angela has definitely hit rock bottom.
  • Basher! Thrasher! Crasher! And, not Smasher, but Fireball!
  • Oh, Andy was so close to being fired, but instead he'll pursue his dream. That worked out for David Wallace, who, I do not believe I ever saw him in a talking head.
  • Why are Pete's eyes beautiful and dead?
  • "I felt like I was flying." Humorous statement from Angela.
  • You could tell when Sensei Billy was talking to Wallace that Dwight was soon going to be named manager.
  • I liked seeing Jim happy that Dwight would be manager and Dwight happy that Jim could be manager. It was nice. Also liked Dwight's face when Jim said, "Don't be so sure."
  • DWIGHT SCHRUTE IS MANAGER!!!! For real this time! It's a long time coming. It's nice.
  • Liked Clark getting kicked out of Jim's seat by Dwight and also Dwight saying that Pam is really cool. In addition to that, Dwight knew not to air punch Pam after getting his black belt.
  • Sensei Ira scammed Dwight!
  • Loved all the callbacks. Dwight putting his leg on Jim's desk, a la Michael Scott. The reference to Michael. Assistant to the regional manager. Jim and Pam flirting in the annex, a la The Carpet and their air high-five. It was nice.
  • Hopefully Darryl can understand why Jim said no. Pam must realize that she's not being as supportive as Jim once was for her, though. I bet he goes. After all, three months, a la art school.
  • Oscar and Angela have really become great friends and it shone through with the invitation to stay at Oscar's place. She needs to get with Dwight ASAP as possible, though. "I've never lived with a gay guy before." Lol.
  • You could tell that there was real emotion with Ed Helms when he was saying goodbye to Darryl. There was some from Craig Robinson, too. It's sad to see their friendship saying goodbye.
  • It made me feel so bad for Andy that no one believed in him. Not Kevin or Phyllis or Darryl or Jim or Pam. Not even Dwight in their final one on one scene together, probably. I was thinking that he needed Erin and then he finally went to her and she shot him down too. Made me sad.
  • Then, when Andy officially decided to go for his dream, it was awesome. Everyone realized that he had a really good chance. Even Erin, thankfully.
  • I like how Angela and Andy had a farewell scene. They were once engaged, remember. They needed that. They both wished each other luck, moved on and it worked.
  • The killer, great scene of the whole thing was of course, a classic Andy song. I thought it was going to be a song of spite, but turned out to be amazing and one of the greatest moments in the entire season. Thank you, Andy:
Oh, god. Just two more episodes left.

  1. Was a great episode. Andy's waffling back and forth was fun. Glad to see Jim and Pam connecting again. Angela needs to be truthful with Dwight!
