New York: Cinematic Hot Spot
David Letterman is in New York. Seth Meyers is in New York. Stephen Colbert will be in New York. But even though Jimmy Kimmel and Craig Ferguson remain in Los Angeles, the future is coming into view. And Jimmy Fallon is leading the charge. Apparently, more and more movie premieres have been opting to debut in New York City rather than Los Angeles, as they typically did. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it's all because Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show is in the heart of New York City. The article calls Studio 6B "ground zero for promotional opportunities." Huge blockbusters such as Transformers: Age of Extinction, Edge of Tomorrow, The Fault in Our Stars, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and X-Men: Days of Future Past have all decided to go to New York to premiere rather than Hollywood. I'm so proud, Jimmy.
