Colonial Time Capsule

A time capsule buried in 1795 by Samuel Adams and Paul Revere was opened this past January. This was a major story of history to me that was, surprisingly, given moderately little attention. It had resurfaced once in 1855, but until December of 2014 it had not yet been seen. Inside were newspapers, centuries-old coins (some that were over a hundred years old at the time), a seal of the Commonwealth, and a plate made by Revere. That is just actually really, really cool.

  1. Very cool. I hope they find more of these over the years and I hope we are adding some for people in the future to find, as well.
