Though not my favorite album from U2, War is still pretty damn good. New Year's Day and 40 are both pretty decent songs, but this album gets onto the list essentially because of the greatness of one song altogether. Sunday Bloody Sunday might very well be, not just the definitive U2 song, but also their best. It is a shining example of the post-punk anthem that popularized U2 so much when they were first starting out. It elevated War to become U2's first number one album.
