The Hatbox Ghost Returns
When Walt Disney and his team of Imagineers were originally planning The Haunted Mansion for Disneyland out in Anaheim, one of the nine hundred and ninety-nine happy haunts was slated to be an interesting phantom known as The Hatbox Ghost. However, the technology was nowhere near ready for such an audio-animatronic and the idea was shelved, destined to be Disney lore for decades. Which he was until 2015. But now, he's finally returned. The Hatbox Ghost, ripe with working technology, has finally made his first appearance at The Haunted Mansion since the early days and it is better than the faintest part of Ricky Brigante's heart could ever imagine. The full behind-the-scenes excursion can be found here. Good on Disney!
