100 Favorite Movies: 21

One of the best movies ever based on a book. It's so well made! With quotes like, "Inconceivable!" and "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die," (both of which were included in the book), it easily ranks as one of the all-time most quotable films ever made. I think it's also worth noting that there was not a single misstep in the film's casting. Truly an impeccable cast that you wouldn't want to see anyone else in any one of the roles. I believe that truly. I mean it. Anybody want a peanut?

Fantasy comedy directed by Rob Reiner and written by William Goldman in 1987.

Starring: Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Chris Sarandon, Mandy Patinkin, Christopher Guest, Andre the Giant, Wallace Shawn, Fred Savage, Billy Crystal, and Carol Kane.

Tune in February 23rd for number twenty!

  1. Always quotable and always a great watch. The book is a lot fuller and deeper, but the film definitely does it justice.
