A Small Dose of The Office on an Office-Less Day

Due to the hour-long Parks and Recreation yesterday, there was no new episode of The Office. Unfortunately, we found out that there will not be a new episode of The Office until APRIL FREAKIN' FOURTH. How do they expect me to wait SIX WEEKS until I get my fill? I mean, granted when it does return, we'll get each episode without a week of interruption. Just straight on through to the finale. There's eight half-hours left. That means there's seven weeks because of the hour-long finale. Maybe we'll get some classic episodes or bits of the documentary on NBC Thursdays at 9:00 from now until April 4. That's another thing. What the hell, NBC? I stay loyal to you when your ratings are low or when you make a comeback. Then you go and postpone Community to February, cancel The Event and delay The Office. Come on, Greenblatt! Anyway, here's what I was going to provide on this Office-less day. Some facts, tidbits, hints and previews of what's to come on the last lap of The Office.

  • Michael Imperioli will play Sensei Billy, Dwight's new rival, on an episode in the spring.
  • Shooting for The Office will end on March 14. By the math provided by Greg Daniels, the shooting for the series finale will begin on March 6. IT'S ALL HAPPENING SO FAST!!!!!!!!!
  • Roseanne Barr will guest star as Carla Fern, a talent agent who tries to help Andy realize his true dream.
  • Angela Kinsey says there will be a big shake-up in Angela's life.
  • We will begin to see the characters viewing the documentary and there may be a breakout star, or two, teased Kinsey.
  • Brian Baumgartner said that, "if things go the way I think they're going with Kevin, I'll be pleased."
  • Creed has pushed Greg Daniels to have a connection to the Scranton Strangler.
  • Ken Kwapis, Mindy Kaling and BJ Novak will all be returning for The Office finale. I bet Steve Carrel will too.
  • One version of The Farm has Angela visiting Schrute Farms with Dwight, the rest of the cast, and the Schrute clan. One version does not contain Angela.
  • Rainn Wilson tweeted that "just got out of a meeting with The Office writers. The second half of the season is going to explode your TVs!" Bodes well.
  • Rainn Wilson also said the following, "Part of the ending is not only going to be resolving the characters and seeing what's going on in their lives, but also the airing of the documentary. That's going to happen in the last six or eight episodes. The characters get to watch themselves in the documentary. They'll probably be documented watching it."
Yeah this is gonna be good. If October 19 is February 7, then this means that February 28 is now April 4. March will be TOUGH.

  1. Wonder if some of the characters will be self-reflective after seeing themselves in the documentary? Also wonder if that is what will bring Jim and Pam back together?
