Argument 51: Who Was The Second-Best Hitter For The Red Sox?

Book Answer: Wade Boggs

I strongly disagree with this one. Boggs was good, but Yaz was better. After all, Yaz had the Triple Crown back in 1967. Let's compare the stats in Boston:

Runs: Yaz-1816. Boggs-1067. ADV: Carl.
Hits: Yaz-3419. Boggs-2098. ADV: Carl.
Home Runs: Yaz-452. Boggs-85. ADV: Carl.
RBIs: Yaz-1844. Boggs-687. ADV: Carl.
Average: Yaz-.285. Boggs-.338. ADV: Wade.

4 out of 5 in favor of Carl Yastrzemski? How do you pick against him?
