2013 Disney Legends

The Disney Legends is a 26-year program for Disney that kind of acts as a Disney Hall of Fame for people who have contributed a lot to the success of Disney. This year, at the D23 Expo in Anaheim on August 10 at 2:00 PM, 2013's inductees will be enshrined. They are,

Tony Baxter, a Disney Imagineer for 43 years. He developed such attractions as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Journey into Imagination with Figment and more.

Collin Campbell, a Disney jack-of-all-trades who helped in the TV and movie walks of the company and went on to help develop Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Enchanted Tiki Room.

Dick Clark, an American legend and ABC star and staple as the host, figurehead and producer of many programs like American Bandstand, New Year's Rockin' Eve, and even the Golden Globe Awards.

Billy Crystal, the man who provides the voice for one of the stars of Pixar's Monsters Inc and Monsters University, Mike Wazowski.

John Goodman, the man who provides the voice for James P. Sullivan, Sully, of Pixar's Monsters Inc and Monsters University and also Pacha from The Emperor's New Groove.

Steve Jobs, an early investor and executive of Pixar and he became Disney's largest shareholder in 2006. He was also on Disney's Board of Directors until 2011.

Glen Keane, one of Disney's best and most popular animators. He brought many beloved characters to life such as, Penny in The Rescuers, Elliott in Pete's Dragon, Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective, Beauty and the Beast's Beast, The Little Mermaid's Ariel, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Tarzan and the entire cast of Tangled.

Ed Wynn, he appeared in many Disney classics including Mary Poppins, Babes in Toyland, That Darn Cat, The Absent-Minded Professor, Son of Flubber and he was the voice of the Mad Hatter in Alice and Wonderland.

A good, deserving bunch!
