Sure, that wasn't a smart move, but it's not the worst in Boston history. How can you not choose Babe Ruth? Harry Frazee sold Ruth, often regarded as the greatest baseball player in history, to the New York Yankees when he was on the threshold of his prime. They didn't even trade him for anyone. They didn't get any players! They just got money that Frazee used to finance the new play he was creating. Such a bad decision. It cursed the Sox for 86 years...
