Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will go down as two of the all-time great Celtics player. However, it makes sense for GM Danny Ainge to trade them away to Brooklyn so he can at least get something in return, unlike when Red Auerbach held onto Larry Bird and Robert Parish too long and got nothing and then turmoil ensued. Boston basketball is rebuilding. But that doesn't mean they can't pay homage to two legends who did wonders for the Celtics. This nice ad was taken out in the Globe by the Celtics organization. Fitting.
