J.K. Rowling's Letter to Cassidy Stay

After a shooting of her family, Cassidy Stay was the lone survivor when she survived a bullet to the head and then delivered a speech to her community three days later, quoting Albus Dumbledore in it. "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one remembers to turn on the light." Following this, J.K. Rowling wrote Cassidy a letter in the form of Dumbledore, a wand, signed copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and an acceptance letter to Hogwarts with a school supply list. Pretty classy.

  1. Awesome story all around, except for the shooting, of course.
