2012:
- The Avengers has not come out yet, so I guess that's a part of the future. It will be Disney's first Marvel film and will star Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Evans.
- Brave will be Pixar's main creation of 2012. It will be released in Summer 2012.
- The Odd Life of Timothy Green, starring Jennifer Garner, will be released in August 2012
- Tim Burton has created a new film called Frankenweenie.
- Wreck-It-Ralph, about a video game character, will be Disney's final film of 2012. It stars Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch.
2013:
- Oz: The Great and Powerful will be Disney's first of 2013. It will be a prequel to The Wizard of Oz.
- The Jungle Cruise, a film adaptation of the ride, is expected to show in 2013. It will star Tim Allen and Tom Hanks.
- Iron Man 3 will be the first Disney Marvel movie, not Avengers related. It will star Robert Downey Jr., as Tony Stark, or Iron Man.
- The Lone Ranger is back in action after a short shelving. Johnny Depp will star.
- Monsters University, a Monsters, Inc prequel, will be Pixar's main release of 2013. Monsters University will once again star John Goodman and Billy Crystal.
- Phineas and Ferb, a film adaptation of the television show, will premiere in Summer 2013.
- A fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean will once again sport Johnny Depp, Jerry Bruckheimer, and possibly, Orlando Bloom. A sixth film will be shot when the fifth concludes.
- Thor 2, starring Chris Hemsworth, will be Disney's 3rd Marvel flick and will premiere in November 2013.
- Kristen Bell will star in Frozen, a movie about The Snow Queen. It has been shelved multiple times since 2002.
- There will be a sequel to The Muppets, but Jason Segel will not be on the team. Nothing else has been said about the film, except that James Bobin and Nicholas Stoller will be at the helm.
- Order of Seven will be Disney's final film of 2013. It will be a new Snow White film, but with a twist. The dwarfs are monks.
2014:
- Maleficent will kick of the 2014 year for Disney. It will be Sleeping Beauty from Maleficent's point of view. David Yates will direct and Angelina Jolie will star.
- A sequel to Captain America will be released in 2014. Chris Evans will return.
- The Good Dinosaur will be Pixar's 2014 focus. It will be about what would happen if dinosaurs never went extinct. Bob Peterson will direct.
- Saving Mr. Banks is going to be a film which will tell the story of the conflict between P.L. Travers and Walt Disney over trying to get the rights to Mary Poppins.
2015:
- 2015 will sport TWO Pixar movies. One will take you inside the human mind. The other: 'Dia de los Muertos.' It translates to 'Day of the Dead.'
Untitled or TBA announced films. Yes there will be more in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015, and so on. But the dates/titles haven't been announced just yet.
- John Musker and Ron Clements are working on a new 2D animated film which will be released in 3-4 years.
- An untitled movie, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Hugh Jackman, will debut in 2013.
- A project from Henry Selick will premiere in 2013, but with no title yet.
- An untitled film from Marvel will be released in 2014.
- Doctor Strange, another Marvel film, has no release date, but it is expected to star Patrick Dempsey.
- A third TRON movie will start filming in 2014.
- Mickey Mouse has never had a film starring him. That's going to change as he will get his flick. It will center around Mickey, Goofy, and Donald.
- A movie based on the Matterhorn, a Disneyland ride, is in production.
- A sci-fi film called 'The Runner' has been acquired by Disney.
- Johnny Depp will star in a proposed film called 'Night Stalker.'
- As we all know, I've been anticipating this for a while. The Magic Kingdom will be directed by Jon Favreau. It has no release date, but it will be set in the iconic Disney park and will star Mickey Mouse.
- Disney will reboot the 1979 film, 'The Black Hole.'
- Hovercar 3D will be based off the book of the same name. The director claims that it will be TRON meets Harry Potter.
- Time Zones will be about a man who goes back in time to save his late wife.
- Tux will be an anime film based off of the book, 'Tuxedo Gin.'
- A new 'Cinderella' film is in the works. It has not been announced if it will be animated or live action.
- The King of the Elves will be a 3D computer-animated film.
- Brad Bird is slated to direct '1906' it will be based off of the events prior to and during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
- Rob Marshall will direct 'Into the Woods'. Into the Woods will be a film adaptation of the same-name musical.
- Guillermo del Toro will direct a Haunted Mansion reboot. He says that it will be "scary, but fun...not like the 2003 film...aiming for a PG-13 rating." It will center around the Hatbox Ghost.
- Damon Lindelof, former LOST producer, will helm a movie called 1952.
- Neil Jordan will turn The Graveyard Book from novel to film.
There certainly is a lot to look forward to from Disney!
Lots of great movies coming, it seems. Hope Haunted Mansion, Magic Kingdom and Graveyard Book all make it to the screen!
