Sports Illustrated's Ten Best Covers of 2014

Let's take a look back at the far superior and sometimes dramatic, sometimes fun covers from Sports Illustrated this year.

10. Jeter on Jeter - Covers with Derek Jeter were not hard to find...but they were always great.

9. Commissioner Adam Silver - Maybe it's just because I like the guy or maybe it's because he looks like he should be holding a pitchfork, but there's something about this cover that I love.

8. Jonas Gray - The title of this one is so great. "Because of Course Jonas Gray" is so true because there have been so many "breakout" Patriots running backs.

7. Blount Force Drama - Here's another Patriots running back on the cover if you didn't believe me.

6. Believe! - The underdog covers are always good, but when it's marked by aesthetically popping colors they get even better.

5. The 60th Anniversary Issue - Great use of the mosaic technique to honor the magazine institution with a recreation of the very first cover.

4. Turn Back the Clock - Just as the previous cover did, SI went into the past for this old. poignant photo of LeBron's jersey in Cleveland.

3. Your 2017 World Series Champs - The boldness of both the jerseys and the prediction make this cover one to remember.

2. The Madness Begins - Obviously a cover dedicated to the number one overall seed Florida Gators in basketball is going to make the list.

1. Boston Strong - What else could it be but the Boston Marathon revisited one year after the tragedy?
