Big news! The esteemed job of hosting the annual White House Correspondent's Dinner is one that has fallen to such amazing comedic talent as Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, and Joel McHale in the past. But in 2015, an unexpected and amazing talent was selected as the host. Saturday Night Live's own Cecily Strong! I'm so happy for Cecily who will be just the fourth female host of the event, joining Wanda Sykes, Paula Poundstone, and Elayne Boosler. In a statement from the dinner's president, Christi Parsons, Cecily was said to have "sly and edgy" political humor with a "Chicago accent." The event will be hosted by her on April 25, 2015, which is a Saturday so it'll probably be an off-week for the show. I can't wait for her to crush it!
