Florida Recap: 4/17
This is the day we went to Epcot! I woke up, and breakfast consisted of five mini doughnuts, a banana, and apple juice. I showered soon after and before I knew it, we were on our way to the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. The first thing we saw, just like everyone else, was the giant Spaceship Earth. Naturally, we rode that ride first. It's always cool in there. Innoventions was right near Spaceship Earth and we first watched this hurricane experience education type thing. Did you know that the doors should swing outwards? My sister and I built our own roller coaster for the third time on the vacation. We had to bustle over to Mexico to make our 11:30 reservation. We ate at the San Angel Inn. It was incredibly awesome! And I'll say it: very gorgeous. It seemed like it was Mexico at night with a black ceiling and dimmed lanterns, a volcano in the background, and a Mexican temple which was perfectly illuminated as serene boat tour passed by. The food was also very awesome. I ordered the Pollo a las Rajas. It was grilled chicken over onions and red peppers with cheese sauce and onion sauce. So very amazing. Then, we visited every other country in World Showcase and they were all uniquely cool. We were sent backwards on the Norwegian Maelstrom, there were cool lilipads in China, Oktoberfest and a small village in Germany, gondolas in Italy, pagodas in Japan, a realistic Moroccan bazaar, the Eiffel Tower replica in France, we met Tigger and Pooh in the United Kingdom. There was a show called O Canada in Canada, a Circle-Vision show hosted by Martin Short with a guest appearance from Matthew Perry (Chanandler Bong) among other Canadians. In America, there was a cool show about the American history hosted by Ben Franklin and Mark Twain. There were lots of cool little tributes. When we were back in Future World, our group viewed the very strange Captain EO. Up next was Journey Into Imagination with Figment, always interesting. Then, one of the highlights of the day, was Soarin'. Soarin' was a hang gliding experience through California complete with golf, oranges, fireworks, and Patrick Warburton. As the day turned to evening, we rode the Seas with Nemo & Friends and I'm pretty sure I heard a Tebow reference. It's a shame that Test Track and Ellen's Energy Adventure were closed, but we made up for thrills on Mission: Space. Only three out of four of us rode so I had to be the Navigator and Engineer. To top off the day, a brilliant showing of Illuminations was performed. After a very full, but great day at Epcot we immediately went home and slept and slept and slept. Of course we had to look for the car first, though. It was difficult to find, but it was an acceptable conclusion to a fun day!

That was another jam-packed day, wasn't it? But very good. Love all the stuff at EPCOT. The World Showcase is my favorite part. Seems like we never have enough time to really see it all there!
