Marvel really hit out of the park this year with their two superhero movies that actually seem to fit in a genre besides superhero. Guardians was comedic and science-fiction. The second Captain America film was really quite political. But the action in this movie...oof. This had some of the best fight sequences of any superhero movie. It was a big improvement on the first Captain America movie and a great "lead-in" to the second Avengers film, though it obviously was not completely intended that way. It also bettered my opinion of Captain America as a hero!
Political superhero action drama directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely in 2014.
Starring: Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Robert Redford, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Tune in Monday for number fifty-seven!
Cool. Haven't seen it yet, so can't comment.
