Linus Van Pelt

I'm not a religious man, but that doesn't mean I cannot appreciate one of the many aspects of beauty from A Charlie Brown Christmas. Linus' big display, in particular, is a religious one, but it's done so well and it's perfectly book-ended by Charlie Brown leaving the auditorium with his tree in silence. Linus is the only one who stands beside Charlie for the entire special and his blithe innocence is one that I'm sure is coveted by the masses. Linus is...special.

  1. His simplicity and unwillingness to get caught up in the "commercialization of Christmas" is heartwarming.
