Good book and dare I say a better movie? It's always up for debate when two things are of such a high quality. It goes without saying that Tom Hanks is just...well, you can't picture anyone else in the role. Anyway, this movie smartly navigates between the whimsical and the heartbreak of the latter half of the twentieth century. I love the way the movie unfolds (on a park bench) with Forrest just telling his story. And what a fantastic story it is!
