100 Favorite Movies: 56

This is probably the crown jewel of Muppet movies, right? The original? I like it and I would agree with the previous statement, but it's not my favorite Muppet movie; that one will come a little bit later. But it's still so good! From beginning (Kermit singing Rainbow Connection in the swamp) to end (Sweetums jumping through the screen), the film is just pure joy. Humor (fork in the road) and emotions (Rowlf's song, I Hope That Something Better Comes Along) blend perfectly in a film that needed to happen.

Musical puppet comedy directed by James Frawley and written by Jack Burns and Jerry Juhl in 1979.

Starring: Charles Durning, Austin Pendleton, Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, Dave Goelz, and Caroll Spinney.

Tune in tomorrow for number fifty-five!
