100 Favorite Movies: 25

I couldn't think of a better movie with which to kick off my top twenty-five favorite movies! And know this, only two Pixar movies rank ahead of this. That's big. Nevertheless, Monsters Inc., free from comparison and on its own, is just straight up fantastic. It's so good! A truly bizarre concept of monsters harnessing energy from humans turned into an adventure that transcended work and careers to become all about love and friendship. Mike and Sulley will always be iconic characters and so will this movie, too. They scared because they cared, but they made us laugh and they made our hearts melt because they cared about that, too. In this case, a 2319 is a great thing to "got."

Animated comedy directed by Pete Docter and written by Andrew Stanton and Daniel Gerson in 2001.

Starring: John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Mary Gibbs, Steve Buscemi, James Coburn, Jennifer Tilly, Bob Peterson, and John Ratzenberger.

Tune in Monday (maybe) for number twenty-four!
