Coach is departing New Girl. Again. The character, played by the impeccable Damon Wayans Jr., appeared in the pilot episode of the amazing FOX comedy, but then had to leave the show when Happy Endings was unexpectedly renewed over on ABC. After that was unjustly canceled, though, he returned about one-fourth of the way through New Girl's third season. And now, at the end of the fourth, he will bid his loftmates farewell once more during the season finale. Liz Meriwether, the showrunner, and Wayans are apparently working hard together to give an ending to Coach that will "leave the door open for many returns." Take it from The Mindy Project. Adam Pally's Peter Prentice left the show, but in the two episodes since that said day he has made...two cameos. It's all good at FOX! And don't worry about Damon...something tells me he's got another project in the works soon. I'll talk more about that later. Wink wink.
I am sure he will find something good down the road. Wink Wink... LOL
