I know I'm going to come across as a dissenter for placing the 2011 Muppet film ahead of The Muppet Movie from the 1970s, but I can't help it if this is the movie (and the hype surrounding it) that made me fall in love with The Muppets in the first place. This movie really was a perfect way to bring the Muppets back into mainstream popular culture, though. It was a great way to play the music, light the lights, and meet the Muppets all over again after a bit of a wash and a hiatus. There was just so much nostalgia awash in The Muppets in the soundtrack and the scenes and the jokes and even the camera angles. I just can't get over the amazing feeling that came from this and November 2011.
