Mrs. Parker

The parents in A Christmas Story are such good characters and Mrs. Parker, the mother of Ralphie who is never given a name, is my favorite of the two. The father is so funny, but she can be humorous too, but in a more endearing way. Plus, she is very cognizant of the children and what they're going through and how to be a good parent. She's a great parent and a great character, too! An embodiment of the Christmas spirit, if you will. The heart of the movie.
