100 Favorite Movies: 82

How good is this movie? Some consider it the best Disney has ever made and for good reason. Sure, it is just a retelling of Hamlet, but how does that take away from the greatness and opaque originality of it? Goosebumps can be evoked just from looking at the poster. It really is a highly quality Disney film and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention some highly quality songs from it, including Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Be Prepared, Circle of Life, and Hakuna Matata. Are you achin'? Yup, yup, yup. For some bacon? Yup, yup, yup.

Animated musical directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff and written by Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, and Linda Woolverton in 1994.

Starring: Matthew Broderick, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Moira Kelly, Nathan Lane, Ernie Sabella, Robert Guillaume, and Rowan Atkinson.

Tune in tomorrow for number eighty-one!

  1. Amazing movie. Was such a big deal with kids - and adults - when it came out. Not sure how many times I have seen it, or at least heard it in the background. :)
