100 Favorite Movies: 89

Vacation or National Lampoon's Vacation? What should I refer to it as? Ah, who cares? You know what movie I'm talking about. The comedy classic that spawned a franchise. In all of the iconic roles Chevy Chase has ever had (Gerald Ford, Pierce Hawthorne, Fletch, Chevy Chase), this might be the best. And on the trip to Wally World, that's where it all started. Clark. Griswold. (We've seen a lot of Clark here on the blog today.) Tremendously funny.

Comedy directed by Harold Ramis and written by John Hughes, Harold Ramis, and Chevy Chase in 1983.

Starring: Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Imogene Coca, Anthony Michael Hall, Dana Barron, Randy Quaid, Christie Brinkley, and John Candy.

Tune in tomorrow for number eighty-eight!
